January 25, 20178 yr Killing DRS would be good. Not so sure about the changes to engines. TBH a full reset to 2005/6 wouldn't be a bad thing. Sure it was gas guzzling engines but Renault won with a budget of like €100m. RBR and Merc are spending over €400m a season right now
January 27, 20178 yr Author Manor F1 have folded following administrators being unable to find a buyer for them. Someone could still purchase the remnants of the team. It means that all three of the new F1 teams who entered in 2010 have all folded. I would say HRT were the worst out of the three new teams. There always seemed to be a gap between the established and the newer teams.
January 27, 20178 yr Shame. Well if it wasn't for Bianci I'm 99% certain I wouldn't give a shit. Rumour is Renault and I think FI had already been poaching staff en mass
January 28, 20178 yr I'm not surprised nor all that disappointed in truth. They did just fill the token back of the grid void vacated by Caterham a few seasons prior. I am glad however Wehrlein took his chance.
January 30, 20178 yr Thanks to Manor, here's the first look at a 2017 F1 car: http://cdn-7.motorsport.com/images/amp/YX4RjodY/s6/f1-manor-wind-tunnel-model-2017-manor-wind-tunnel-model-car-with-the-team.jpg
February 8, 20178 yr Author This must be the final season where we'll see if Hulkenberg and Perez show their potential.
February 9, 20178 yr I would expect 2018 to be a better yardstick for Hulk. Depends what Renault shows up with to pre-season on Feb 27th
February 9, 20178 yr Author I would feel if Raikkonen was to retire this season then it would be the final opportunity for Perez to get a top drive in F1 reminds me a bit of Heidfeld's career in him and Hulkenberg for me. I might be the only one who thinks that though.
February 13, 20178 yr Author Which driver pairing are you looking forward to seeing the most this season?
February 13, 20178 yr Most interested in seeing who comes out on top between Ricciardo & Verstappen over a full season.
February 13, 20178 yr Author Has to be this season Verstappen and Ricciardo as the most exciting driver pairing. Really looking forward to that battle.
February 14, 20178 yr Yeah that one is going to be good. Especially if the noises RBR are making about aero and engine progress are true then from the first euro race they could be serious contenders (RBR have said they expect to start seeing the new engine at full potential from Spain)
February 18, 20178 yr And we're officially in unveiling season! mFagk2lpseQ Sauber are first to launch their physical car, with 2016 power unit, on Monday. The first all new 2017 challenger will be launched by Renault on Tuesday
February 20, 20178 yr Author Quite like the hint of gold for Sauber's new car. http://www.planetf1.com/news/sauber-offici...he-c36-ferrari/ Expecting them to be towards the back along with Haas.
February 20, 20178 yr Quite like the look of that Sauber. Particularly the rear wing, although the nose is still ugly
February 21, 20178 yr Author They'll most likely be companying 19th and 20th on the grid throughout the season, Sauber.
February 22, 20178 yr Author How do you see Renault doing this season, Silas? Is this the season where Hulkenberg fulfils his potential and nets a podium.
