Posted January 3, 20178 yr It's been confirmed she's performing at Coachella in april, so new music before then? :o
January 5, 20178 yr Got me excited seeing this thread thinking something had actually been announced. :'(
February 16, 20178 yr Early today, Republic Playbook revealed that a new TBA single from Lorde will go for US pop adds on March 7, which implies that it may be released on March 3. The original link is gone, but there are some reports about that, like the one below. From Headline Planet: In a recent update, the Republic Records radio promotion team announced when some singles would be officially impacting pop radio adds. The announcement includes a note that Lorde's new single — with a title that is currently 'confidential' — will be going for pop radio adds on March 7. High-profile singles tend to impact pop radio the first Tuesday after their release. Assuming it is not an error, Republic's note therefore suggests the new Lorde song should be arriving on or around March 3 (the last "new music Friday" before the March 7 impact date).
February 16, 20178 yr HYPED *.* have properly fallen in love with her debut since getting it on vinyl
February 27, 20178 yr The album is expected to be released on June and the lead single will indeed be out next month. From HDD: Lorde performed two extremely well-received songs from her upcoming album during a Grammy week listening event. Some of those on hand wondered whether said album—scheduled to drop in mid-June, with the lead single in March—would once again be on Jason Flom’s Lava or Republic proper. Also, she will be performing at Saturday Night Live on March 11.
February 27, 20178 yr Another Thursday release . Excited for this tho, fingers crossed it can go top 40 in its first full week :cheer:
February 27, 20178 yr Thursday is a really good strategy for Spotify. You get fans listening from Thursday which gives you a good base to build upon through New Music Friday which allows it to enter at a higher position rather than if it was released on a Friday.
