The top 3 are way ahead though and some of favourite pop songs of all time, then between Thinking of You and Firework is quite a big gap for me again but really, all of her tracks are various levels of amazing. Chained to the Rhythm has grown as expected but she has some irresistibly catchy pop hooks that I do ultimately prefer.

In terms of chart performance, #7 isn't a bad start for CTTR and definitely could've been worse (look at Lady Gaga and Britney who unfortunately didn't do so great with their leads), especially after such a long break from music. I do hope it grows into a bit of a bigger hit but with even more Ed Sheeran domination on the horizon and other songs looking to be big smashes, I don't expect it'll go much higher than scraping the top 5 (in the UK anyway) :(

Video coming Tuesday! Beth is back!

These 3 would be my bottom 3 Katy singles .

'E.T.' and 'Dark Horse' would be the top 2

Not getting the Sia comparison at all from that teaser, except the fact it's kinda similar to the old fashioned vibe of the Cheap Thrills lyric video? Which is hardly that innovative on Sia's part anyway.

It's looking promising anyway, very excited to see it in full!

Really excited for the video. It could be a big budget event like Roar/Last Friday Night/Dark Horse.

The director is Danny Lockwood who worked on Dark Horse, Firework and Roar and fully directed Last Friday Night (her best video).

This is being dubbed as a sequel to LFN, with apparently Kathy attending the theme park and Katy Perry playing various different characters within the theme park. The Last Friday night is the video that gave Katy her biggest chart boost of her career. It went from 27-1 in the US, and entered the top 10 in the UK.

This song has hit me so much, it's always in my head now.

I'd be disappointed if it doesn't reach the top five at least, it deserves to smash.

I definitely think it'll make the top 5. I can see it doing similarly to 24k Magic overall. I think next Friday is probably it's opportunity for top 5, as the Brits effect will come too late for this week.
