3 nominations is still amazing for them!

They are most likely to win Best Group, right?

Nah. I imagine they were used as "the token pop act". Usually it's 1D, but obviously they haven't been around and they're up against usual, standard BRIT award fare...

British group

The 1975

Bastillle

Biffy Clyro

Little Mix

Radiohead

I reckon it'll go to The 1975 or Biffy Clyro, but IMAGINE if Little Mix won that. That'd be immense!

Also, Louis has tweeted that he's thankful for the nomination, but they won last time and that he's def on team #BRITVIDLITTLEMIX this year. *.* Hopefully his supporters will do the same!

That was a fake account. :kink:

Little Mix definitely deserve Best Group, especially given the competition. If they miss out on Best Video to 1D again there will be the social media equivalent of a riot
I think there's a very good chance they'll leave the ceremony empty-handed, but I'd rather them get best group than best single. It'd mean the world for them and I actually think it's the more appropriate award as I don't think SOTME is the best one out of the 10 nominated, but I'll take anything. A 1D win is almost certain, which is truly pathetic.
I will go absolutely mad if they don't win best group... I just looked back 20+ years on Best Group winners and every single year apart from Take That in 2011, it's been a rock/indie/alt band... The 1975 will probably get it and I HATE them. They are so overrated, tumblr white girl fodder. I hate that the BRITs are basically the Mercury Prize, but then Girls Aloud never won a BRIT either until they got best single for The Promise. I know it shouldn't all be about sales, but the girls have absolutely smashed this year so I'd be so disappointed for them to go home empty handed. I feel like there is still a bit of a stigma that girlbands are for kids or less musically worthy :/ But virtually everyone has loved SOTME and Touch this year. I guess we can hope for them to shockingly take Best Single like GA did for The Promise *.*
I actually saw a Harmonizer on Twitter say it was ridiculous Glory Days didn't get nominated for Best Album (yes, really). If they only win one and it's Best Group I'll be happy. I'm sure we'll try our best for Best Video but going up against 1D in a fan voted award is a hiding to nothing

I really don't think you should get your hopes up for best group. I'm really glad they were nomiated this year because it's hard enough for a pop act to manage it and they should have been nominated last year really. I also wouldn't get hopes up for video either, I know they're bigger now but One Direction got like 20x the tweets to help them win last year.

The one I'd think they have a most likely chance of winning is Best Single, historically, that's the one that pop acts have the most chance of winning, most other awards are geared towards indie/rock acts.

I'm torn between wanting them to deliver a vocal moment on that stage or a showstopper performance. On the one hand, a vocal moment would sort of justify a potential win and make them more credible before the public, on the other one, their performances slay.

#BritVidOneDirection was the #1 worldwide trend 5 minutes after the voting begun. There's no way Little Mix is winning that. If it was only Zayn they'd manage it.

So yeah, pop acts really don't do too well in succeeding in that category (which is ironic really, when it's the pop acts everyone seems to remember when people are asked to "Name a group" :basil:) the last (and seemingly only) pop act to win (in 20 years) was Take That in 2011! FOUR nominations for One Direction though (shoulda been 3 and Little Mix should've had their place last year in all honesty  but que sera sera!)

All those man bands who play "reeeel muzak" though...

Coldplay nominated 7 times?! And winning 4 of those times.:o
I can't believe the Spice Girls never won and that Westlife were never nominated - both were hugely successful at their peak. This is why I don't care about who wins the Brits, because the awards mean nothing. I just like the performances as you know the artists are going to go all out.
Westlife's first 7 singles, 10 of their first 11, all went to Number 1 so the fact they never won Best Group defies belief

I might be wrong, but I THINK Westlife wouldn't be under "British" group!

Edit: Just checked and they were nominated in the "Best International Group" category!

I can't believe a girl group has never won before. That's really saddening. :(

That's a great point haha! They were so dominant in the UK I totally forgot you had to actually be British in nationality.

Pop Groups/ Acts generally don't do very well at the Brits despite the success they have achieved or not. The Spice Girls are a fine example, and its crazy to think they didnt ever win this award. The success they achieved at the there peak was huge. Indie style bands always win best group.

I never get excited too much by the Brits as year after year some of the winners defies belief and its a very bias awards ceremony unfortunately.

Looks like I'll be missing this because of the f***ing football. <_<
I will be pretty pissed off if they don't win an award this year after the last two era's for them have been massive.
