Wow, that is a few outside shouts for ROTD, although perhaps they seem big to you, I didn't think All In My Head or You Don't Know Love were that big (or good) at all.

And 7 Years and Can't Stop The Feeling outside the cutoff is quite a shock, actually, I'd say that for that entire batch. Although it's entirely possible that something in the top 35 will still be ineligible due to year peaks or something (like Eyes Shut was last year which means if there is one I might just find a space for that one first... anyway, that's for me to work out).

The Multichart voters (and UK in general) had no issue sending their love to Adele once again, the 3rd single from "25" managed a #3 peak. Tinie's collab with Zara was a decent-sized Top 5 hit, and ahead of that is Galantis earning their third Top 5 Multi smash- "No Money" edged out the #3/#4 peaks of Runaway and Peanut Butter Jelly by climbing all the way to #2. "Hands To Myself" gave Selena a much better chart performance than predecessor "Same Old Love" with a fairly lengthy run around the Top 20 (though not quite troubling the #4 peak of lead single "Good for You"). Major Lazer's #1 hit "Cold Water" rounds out this group, with vocals from Justin Bieber & MØ (Lazer and MØ are by all means the reigning champs here after "Lean On" topped last year's Multichart EOY) (also i'm pretty sure this is now the third Bieber track i've covered, there really is no escaping this dude!)

23 997 Adele - When We Were Young (34-18-16-14-14-10-14-19-23-33-21-10-8-7-5-9-11-15-19-21-27-43-xx) [22 wks]

24 986 Sia feat. Kendrick Lamar - The Greatest (52-5-2-1-1-1-2-2-4-6-11-14-17-30-36-46-...) [16+ wks]

25 983 Ariana Grande feat. Nicki Minaj - Side To Side (73-xx-32-17-9-6-3-3-3-5-8-9-10-13-20-16-22-60-xx) [17 wks]

I like that "Side To Side" and "The Greatest" finished next to each other here; they entered the UK top 10 in the same week and were charting side-by-side (pun intended) there a few times. "When We Were Young" didn't quite match the 10 or 11 weeks at #1 "Hello" had on the Multichart, but managed a long run and a #5 peak. "Work" proved to be the more popular Rihanna/Drake collab of the year, despite a shorter chart run than "Too Good". It earns a solid 1000 points here which is cool! And Buzzjack surprised me a bit by really taking to "Cake By The Ocean", although I think overplay turned people against it in the end.

It's been a big year for twenty one pilots and they have a pretty big fanbase on Buzzjack now too, evidenced by the fact it only had a #9 peak but still appears in the EOY top 20! Justin Bieber nabbed his second #1 of the year with his other collaboration, the DJ Snake hit Let Me Love You, which did one better than in the UK chart. Hailee Steinfeld's Starving also managed to peak higher in the multichart than it did officially, with a top 3 peak, becoming Hailee's biggest hit to date. Little Mix are of course hugely popular on Buzzjack, no surprises there, and even Jason Derulo's presence couldn't stop them from a 7 week run at #1! On the other end of the spectrum, Coldplay managed just one week at #1 with Hymn for the Weekend, but nevertheless it was a huge hit here for them.

MØ kicks off the top 15 with her 3rd Multichart #1 (the first of her own, the other two being Lean On & Cold Water) with her poppiest single to date "Final Song", The Chainsmokers scored one of the year's biggest songs with "Closer", not quite a chart topper here though clearly should have been~ one lucky french lass who did reach the Multichart summit was Christine & The Queens with left-field breakthrough hit "Tilted" (fun fact: the song originally charted (the original French language version) back in early 2015 following its BJSC exposure). Another life-altering tune is up at #12, Drake's "One Dance" slayed the Multi with its presence for over 20 weeks! And finally we get to Calvin Harris & Rihanna's "This Is What You Came For", hilariously missing out on a Top 10 place by 11 points

I always found Secret Love Song's Multichart run to be rather remarkable - 9 weeks in the top 10 and it was #1 for 7 of those weeks!!

Dua Lipa has been a Buzzfave since 'Be The One' and 'Last Dance', yet somehow it was 'Hotter Than Hell' that landed her a first UK hit. This tropical-sounding track cruelly fell short of the top 10 there but was a solid top 3 on the Multichart and kicks off our end-of-year top 10. Honestly I never liked this at the time but it's sounding all right today. It seems to be one of the few things that's gone right with her album campaign so far :kink:

great to see Calvin Harris and Drake so high, in fact all of that 11-15 section is amazing as is Dua Lipa at #10.

Next up at #9 is the comeback single for Clean Bandit, who teamed up with 2015's X Factor winner Louisa Johnson for Tears. It was an instant hit on the multichart, entering at #7 and climbing to #1 two weeks later, spending six weeks at the top! Clean Bandit scored a multichart #1 in 2014 with Rather Be, and it was EOY #5 that year. It was Louisa's first multichart #1 however, and is her only song in the EOY top 75 this year. I'm delighted to see this so high, one of my favourites of 2016! Also interestingly, the first 8 (!) weeks of this chart run mirrored the official chart run of follow-up hit Rockabye :o

Mike Posner stormed back to chart glory in early 2016 with the SeeB-remixed "I Took A Pill In Ibiza", #1 for 3 weeks in the Multichart, and even longer in the UK charts <3 His previous hit "Cooler Than Me" peaked at #11 (fun fact: he was also the main writer behind massive Multichart smash "Sugar" by Maroon 5)

"This Girl" first appeared in personal charts when it was entered in the Buzzjack Song Contest, where it finished 7th. A UK chart hit soon followed, as well as a 12-week #1 on Dance mod Dan's personal chart. It peaked at #2 both in the UK, stuck behind Drake near the end of his run, and on the Multichart behind Clean Bandit. Overall a great result for a stellar track! Would this be considered funky house?

Girl group Fifth Harmony kicked off their second era with a little help from Ty Dolla $ign, and together they created the monster smash hit that is Work from Home. The track became their first multichart #1, and their highest peak in both the UK and US too, outcharting previous hit Worth It.

 My favourite song of 2016! A worthy first multi #1; I'm glad it managed to secure one week in between the Mike Posner & Sia domination. :o

Live my day a dog there was no past, doing it all Highgate all summer :music: Zara Larsson's big breakthrough single "Lush Life" managed a long run at the #2 spot (never quite getting past Secret Love Song or Hymn For The Weekend), she's since followed it up with Top 5 appearances for Girls Like, Ain't My Fault and I Would Like

omg at 'Lush Life' doing a 'Moves Like Jagger' though, never noticed.

should've been a #1 tho -_-

This was my personal favorite song of 2016 so I'm pleased to announce it's #4 on the Multichart EOY! Believe it or not, Ariana had never had a #1 on the Multichart until this year; prior to that she had two #2s ("Problem", "Love Me Harder") and two #3s ("Break Free", "Bang Bang"). "Into You" almost didn't make it either but managed to sneak in for a week following Clean Bandit's long run at the top with "Tears". I would call it a stereotypical Buzzjack fave but not to diminish everything that's so spectacular about it. Either way, no surprise it's done so well here!

OK we're getting excitingly close to the end now, and at #3 we have... a song that finishes higher than it ever made in the weekly chart! The Chainsmokers' Don't Let Me Down was making waves before it got its commercial push and when it finally got that, it zoomed into the top 10 and up to a #5 peak. They outpeaked it with their follow-up Closer but this wins out of the two in the points countdown! It's my personal favourite Chainsmokers track to date

Who loves cheap thrills? Clearly Buzzjack, a remixed version of Sia's second single from This Is Acting (with added Sean de Paul) made its way to #1 on the Multichart for a whole five weeks. fun fact: Sia topped the End Of Year Multi for 2014 with the amazing Chandelier, and she was only a few points off a repeat here in 2016! COME ON COME ON TURN GREG THAMES ON
