Results were about right, except I'd like to have seen Charlotte through to AC instead of De Vet Du even though I knew it was impossible. Mitt Liv was such a pleasant surprise, really enjoyed it and I'm not particularly a Charlotte fan

Dinah rightly ditched and lol at her look of disgust when she was against Ace in the final battle... you should have got a better song and a better voice love! (Although One More Night is more tolerable than Make Me La La La)

One More Night is on Spotify UK already...

No sign of Charlotte or Adrijana, both of which I'm just DYING to play again.

I hope this means One More Night will be on UK iTunes in a few hours.

Are songs that go to Andra Chansen not being released on Spotify this year? I thought they were last year...
Oh okay, ignore me, Boris is on Spotify so that is still the case. Looking forward to Road Trip landing on there.

'Road Trip' is already on Swedish Spotify, I hope it's going to be added to ours.

Humming Wild Child and keep thinking of Ben Haenow's Second Hand Heart. I knew that chorus melody was similar!

Is it just me who isn't hyped over Ace Wilders offering? I'm liking the sharp, brash verses but the chorus might as well have been lifted from a Pixar soundtrack. Disappointing as 'Don't Worry' was so, so, so stupendously marvellous.

"Hold On' is o-kaaayyyyy. In 2013.

Hmmm, roll on week 2.

I have SO MANY EMOTIONS. Heartbroken for Dinah but it was such a rollercoaster - I went in expecting it to stone flop, touched PURE JOY when the heart started exploding, touched FURTHER JOY when she graced us with that iconic rap breakdown (then classic MF schadenfreude at it immediately killing the heart), and then had a vague horrifying sense of doom that Boris would probably get enough votes to shove her out (there was no way De vet du weren't getting through and I was totally at peace with that because it's so much fun - it's basically Dolly Style - Rollercoaster FOR STRAIGHTS)

Anyway, it's another 5th place for the ages. And on the upside we got the sheer wonder that is Wild Child, which is so catchy I think I may DIE SINGING IT (or being murdered by randomfurlong for my constant double handclapping into UHOHUHOHUHWHUHOA (BABY I'M A WILD CHI-*impaled by tomahawk*

Fixed it

Hasse was a REVELATION FUCK YOU

Gah, I can't get enough of Wild Child. Definitely her most instant song so far seeing as it took us all a few listens to properly latch onto Busy Doin Nothin.

I'm feeling the combination of these two things are why this one is hitting all the right buttons for me while Don't Worry fell flat. Wild Child IS a lot more cinematic in the chorus and I think the contrast adds to the whole 'rush' of the track.

'Wild Child' feels a lot more like what I'd quintessentially label as an Ace Wilder track since it's got more than a hint of Icona Pop for me with the brash, chanting elements to it, which Busy Doin' Nothing is clearly influenced by too. 'Don't Worry' by contrast feels a lot more like her trying to do house-influenced dance pop which is close to but not quite the genre I think she excels at.

Yaknow, not gonna get ahead of myself here, but if The Foo are disappointing/bomb with the International Juries and Loreen's track is too "out there" for a mainstream audience in quite the same way...then all of a sudden it gets very interesting!

It's Icona Pop doing Boney M basically. I think Don't Worry only feels quintessential Ace because of the standard theme running through all of them of being an UTTER MESS!

Wild Child is even better with that performance for me, it feels like a song that only she could sing as it's SO Ace, and that is what I really want from a Melfest song. Something unique but accessible and captivating with a chance to do well at Eurovision, because Sweden is one of the countries that can really do that. Fingers crossed she has a real chance this time, they do say third time lucky! *.* With what feels like endless ballads so far it would definitely give an injection of energy to proceedings.

And god I loved Dinah too, I got so caught up I ended up really thinking she could pull off a "shock" AC in the place of Boris

I think "Wild Child" feels not just cross-generational, but also something which will translate on a continental level. If this wins, it could go all the bloody way.

While it doesn't move me the way "Don't Worry" did (I'm a total sucker for 90s piano house), there's no denying this is a savvy, well packaged song.

It's an incredible pop song but I really see it having more chance of missing the top five of the Melfest final altogether than winning the thing. I'm sure it was quite narrow between Ace and the two AF qualifiers last night. Unless she gains huge momentum over the next few weeks of course, but it seems unlikely.

If Loreen and The Fooo underwhelm then it's no doubt Nano's for the taking, though I don't actually think Hold On would do that much at Eurovision...I could see it missing the top ten or even top 15 and being a 'surprise flop'.

The whole 'epic' staging feels too forced to me somehow and the song has been so done to death in a better way over the past five years that I'm not sure it would have people rushing to vote for it as much as Sweden might think...

Something about Hold On just didn't blow up how it could've done last night but I get the impression Wild Child has really impressed everyone and created this whole "oh, THIS Ace is back" as this is the same sort of vibe that Busy Doin' Nothin created. It might struggle to keep momentum up a little too but in a night where Nano should've felt like the resounding winner and perhaps a future MF winner, I don't think he's created the same buzz.

Not sure I'd agree that it'd instantly be Nano's in that case. I think there's another tier of the likes of Lisa Ajax/Mariette/Benjamin Ingrosso/Robin Bengtsson/Jon Henrik/Wiktoria who'll all be there or there abouts or even somebody who comes completely out of leftfield. I actually reckon both Ace and Nano were clear of De vet du (not entertaining the notion that they weren't 3rd) by some distance and if anything it was probably narrower between the two of them than between 2nd and 3rd.
