BEST ORIGINAL SONG

- Bridget Jones's Baby - Ellie Goulding - Still Falling For You -
- Moana - Auli'i Cravalho - How Far I'll Go -
- Moana - Dwayne Johnson - You're Welcome -
- Suicide Squad - Twenty One Pilots - Heathens -
- Trolls - Anna Kendrick - Get Back Up Again
- Trolls - Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop The Feeling

Onto our next category and we have double nominations from popular animated flicks 'Moana' and 'Trolls' alongside Buzzjack faves Ellie Goulding & Twenty One Pilots! Fabulous set here but gutted to see Just Like Fire and to a lesser extent Try Everything miss out :( Really shocked Pink didn't make it in! Anyway onto the nominated songs, Ellie's is another good movie track but not as good as LMLYD, the original version of How Far I'll Go and Auli'i's 2nd nomination today and the surprisingly fab You're Welcome from Moana, Heathens from massive blockbuster Suicide Squad and double Trolls with one of the biggest selling songs of the year with Can't Stop The Feeling & Anna Kendrick's utterly INCREDIBLE 'Get Back Up Again' making it in which I was really shocked to see! Such a good category but hope Anna pulls off the win here!

BEST SOUNDTRACK
http://i67.tinypic.com/11hh10h.jpg

- Bridget Jones's Baby -
- Ghostbusters -
- Moana -
- Sing Street -
- Suicide Squad -
- The Neon Demon -
- Trolls -

Following nicely on from Best song we have Best Soundtrack, where the 4 films which pulled of song nominations- Bridget Jones's Baby, Suicide Squad, Moana and Trolls- all end up in this category for their soundtrack, alongside the fab and underrated Sing Street, the also fab and underrated Ghostbusters even if the soundtrack wasn't that good and The Neon Demon gets in, I think the only one here which is more of a score than a soundtrack! Pretty good bunch though, hoping for Moana, Trolls or Sing Street to pull off the win here!

BEST PICTURE: NOMINEE #6
http://i66.tinypic.com/j8ia7m.jpg

Hoping to go one step further than The Force Awakens did last year is 'Rogue One', the spin-off which became another gigantic blockbuster at the box office and was another well reviewed Star Wars flick! I loved this & this is deserving of its place in the final line-up!

We will be doing the same thing as last year with two people submitting write-ups for each of the best picture nominations which will be posted during the final results presentation! You can do as many as you want as long as two people haven't taken them! You can either post if you want to write up a film now or if there's still spaces when the voting thread goes up, you can claim the space then!

Rogue One Write-Ups: ? and ?

Perfect categpry in Best Original Song! All of them are deserving of being there!

Great to see Rogue One get a nomination in best picture too!

Also, for the write-ups, how much are we thinking? Just a paragraph or more? :D

MOST UNDERRATED FILM:
http://i68.tinypic.com/ifbr5f.jpg

- 10 Cloverfield Lane -
- Kubo & The Two Strings -
- Money Monster -
- Suicide Squad -
- The Girl With All The Gifts -
- The Shallows -

10CL underrated????? Don't really get that at all! Fab reviews from critics, overperformed at box office, loved on here so really don't get how it ended up here?! The others all makes sense though, even if a couple I disagree with! Suicide Squad picks up another nomination as it continues to dominate both here and the Razzies, Money Monster was beloved on here but got the cold shoulder from critics and the audience, The Girl With All The Gifts is an underseen British pic that received fabulous reviews and this feels like it really fits this category, and two of my favourite films of the year pop up in the form of Kubo & The Two Strings and The Shallows! Kubo got critical acclaim but didn't do much at the box office and The Shallows did solidly but I wish it did even more and I do feel its quite underrated! Kubo to win here for me probably, would be very well deserved!

However much you want! I can't remember too much how much people wrote last year (I'll check later!) but I think it was 1-2 paragraphs! Even a few lines is fine! <3

Excellent.

Interesting that '10 Cloverfield Lane' is considered as "underrated" :o

Really hoping 'Conjuring 2' has done enough to grab the nomination (and hopefully the win)! My fave horror last year, by far!

BEST HORROR FILM:
http://i68.tinypic.com/6t03ys.jpg

- 10 Cloverfield Lane -
- Don't Breathe -
- Green Room -
- The Conjuring 2 -
- The Witch -
- Train To Busan -

Despite seeing loads of horrors this year, I've only seen half of the eventual nominees! Massive shame to see The Shallows/The Purge: Election Year miss out and also wouldn't have minded The Boy or The Forest popping up here! Of the ones I have seen, The Witch is definitely my choice for the win here as it is one of my favourite films of the year! So haunting and really underrated on here :( The 'underrated' 10 Cloverfield Lane pops up with ANOTHER nomination and surprisingly great horror sequel The Conjuring 2 also gets a nomination here! Of the ones I haven't seen, Green Room is on my list as its on Netflix and looks really good, still need to see Don't Breathe and Train To Busan's fanbase on here propels it to a nomination over some of the biggest horrors of the year!

BEST MOVIE COUPLE next! Predictions? Predict then I'll post the results for this category!

The problem with the term underrated is that, if I think a film is a 10/10 but everyone else says it's a 9/10, then I could argue correctly that I think it's underrated.

I like the idea of the category but it is so open to interpretation

'The Conjuring 2' or 'Train to Busan' ftw for me. But I expect '10 Cloverfield Lane' (not really one I personally consider to be horror) or 'The Witch' to pick up the win in that one. The latter, although good/decent, I find to be slightly overrated! :(

Edit: but as Severin said, very strong category there. Not one of them dowsn't deserve the nomination tbh.

I need to see 10 cloverfield Lane but do you need to have seen the orginal to have seen this one?

Not at all. They're completely unrelated

Zootropolis as best comedy? It's a cute film but hardly a comedy and not even that funny either

BEST PICTURE: NOMINEE #7
http://i65.tinypic.com/2ltlls8.jpg

And the 'underrated' 10 Cloverfield Lane is now a Best Picture Nominee as well (lol I really can't stop with this now, I should've left underrated till later!!). Fab to see this get in as it was surprisingly fantastic with great performances and a fabulous script by future Oscar winner Damien Chazelle who will probably win stuff here next year for La La Land! Love this film and another deserving BP nom! Just one more BP nom to come from me tonight then Josh will reveal the final three that made it!
