Don't tell me, tropical or a lame Chainsmokers drop?

This is pretty much a Chainsmokers sound! I wonder will it help them go back to mainstream though...

This is exactly what I mean when I say The Chainsmokers have ruined music... because they really have!

Written by the same team who wrote Britney's new album too!
I really don't get the Linkin Park comparison to The Chainsmokers after listening to it, it doesn't sound anything like The Chainsmokers at all.
but not sure who's gonna buy the Linkin Park song, sure their fanbase will pass with such a radical change towards something so dance-y and commercial, sounds more like Chainsmokers than the last 2 Chainsmokers songs :D
Yay at Linkin Park supposedly going tropical  Going to love this!
the Linkin Park song is written together with this Julia Michaels who's on the Spotify top 50 with this song called Issues
good to see Kygo comfortably top 20, should easily go top 10 tomorrow with the New Music Friday effect. Releasing on Thursday could prove to be a good strategy.

I liked Don't Let Me Down but I have no idea how Closer become so big, its just so dull.

Linkin Park's song isn't tropical, it's just generic pop. It's could easily fit into a Disney Channel movie in the 'serious' part or whatever, quite stunning level of sell-out really.

Beyond the vain hope of clinging onto chart relevance, I can't understand why on earth they've done this? It can't be for the $$$ as there must be way more money for them in touring, and changing to this sound will massively alienate a large chunk of their fanbase.

I genuinely can't remember the last time I was this surprised by an act trying to chase trends...maybe not since You Me At Six's Rescue Me in 2011, and even that was far from the same level as this!

LP have worked with loads of people in the mainstream in the past though, Jay Z, Eminem, Steve Aoki, Busta Rhymes and they've used the same producers as Adele and Gaga on past albums so they're hardly new to trend chasing. Just because they're sounding a little less stuck in the past this time it doesn't make it automatically the most sell out thing they've done.

Yep and the drop is horrible sounding in Closer I think, sounds like it was just hastily made and tacked on to the ends of the choruses as an afterthought.
