They've posted a clip of the "Acoustic Version" online, and yeah. It's just the studio vocals with a guitar backing instead. :(

 

Why aren't they doing ANYTHING for this song!? Not even recording a new proper acoustic version. I don't understand why their label are just letting it slip away like this! :(

It's quite weird to me how Spotify has gone back to being their weak point after SOTME and Touch slaying on it. :( This sounds like something that would do well on streaming and it got put on some decent playlists so I wonder what went wrong?

It is a bit odd. It definitely sounds like something the GP would latch on to, but the fact it's been 59p for weeks and not progressed past #9 on iTunes (except the brief spell after the MV release) sort of says it all. I think it's one of their best, but perhaps it may be a little 'MOR' in the sense that's neither strictly up-tempo nor a ballad. O well, it's not as if it flopped.

It's because they pushed it out just as 'Touch' was peaking on radio. Too soon! :( (as well as absolutely NOTHING promo wise. Seriously wtf with that!!)

This actually peaked on radio airplay today at #6.

 

It's still A list on R1, has been moved to the first song on Hot Hits and still has the discount so should have another week in the top 20.

This is going to be a long running hit rather than an instant one.

I think it will do ok in the long run.

That's amazing news! Is Live at The Paladium pre-recorded or is it actually live? Do you think we'd hear by now if they would be on it at some point?

It has been moved to the front of Hot Hits so that should help it out!

Hm, I don't agree with you guys. The song is still discounted, A-listed for a 5th week (that's a big deal for a 3rd single), and now #1 on the Hot Tracks playlist + they just released an acoustic version that will surely help a bit. They are really pushing it. The song is simply not resonating with the GP as well as we thought it'd be/it deserves. But it's still a hit for them, and that's what's most important.

I do agree, they've pushed this well, the only thing it missed is a performance, but they were away most of the time. I think it has resonated though, it's just been a bit of a slower burner. It was released a bit too early, so it's hit status was a bit staggered. It could still hit its eventual peak next week though, depending on where the new releases land.

Despite the discount and it's surprisingly long run on the Radio 1 A list, I would still say that their team has mishandled this song. For one, they released it at a horrible time . Also, an itunes discount should not be a songs main form of promotion. When they saw that the song was struggling they should have been trying to find a promo slot for the girls last week or this week. I do think that the discount has managed to turn it in to a small hit but nothing sells a Little Mix single like a performance does and with the way this single started out, they should've been scrambling to book one, only using the discount to keep it afloat until then.
