I really thought this was bigger, such a gorgeous song!

The sales for her Up album as a stand alone are impressive, but, i always thought it totally underperformed after the gigantic success of Come On Over.

My ranking

1. Come On Over - 9/10

2. The Woman In Me - 9/10

3. Shania Twain - 8/10

4. Up - 7/10

 

Debut album is much better than "Up", top 2 are masterpieces.

In large, Up was a very disappointing follow up to Come On Over. Up the title track was a solid Pop number but the album did not connect with me as much i had hoped.

Up! dumps on all her other albums from a great height.

I don't dislike it :lol: I was just appauled at Don't be Stupid being above it in that list.

Swingin' With My Eyes Closed is the next single and on itunes and HOW WAS IT NOT THE LEAD? Seriously her best song since I'm Gonna Getcha Good!

Life's about to get good is actually my favourite and I think it's the strongest so I have to disagree with you there.

From what I gather, Shania's son loves it so she choose it as the lead.

Shania's lyrics can often carry a bit of a sting, hidden by the upbeat pop melodies - "What A Way To Wanna Be!" from her album "Up!" contains the classic "Bigger is best, but only in the chest". Ouch.

SWMEC is fast becoming one of my fave songs of the year!!

Also, 'Life's About to Get Good' has become one of my favourites of the year. This sort of radio-friendly self-empowerment anthem doesn't usually do anything for me, but I'm really liking the positivity of it and its irresistible, sing-along chorus.

 

Can see her reaching #1 with this album too, which will be such a thrill!

I can't help but feel this will kinda underperform :lol: I hope to be wrong though.
