March 1, 20178 yr Really poor for me, although that Orlando survivor's story on Ellen/his connection with it did touch me.
March 1, 20178 yr It was really exciting to see this being released without an announcement but the song is one of her weakest singles to date even though it's pretty nice still.
March 3, 20178 yr Author I did quite like this to begin with but I think that was mainly due to the hype of finally getting new Katy music, it got old pretty quickly and now it just sounds so dreadfully boring. It's easy enough on the ears but I have no desire to return to it much ever again really, glad she brought it properly with Chained to the Rhythm :wub:
March 3, 20178 yr I remember hearing a short clip of this on the radio and found it quite interesting until I heard to the whole song and was gravely disappointed, after waiting for 2 years for a new Katy Perry track and this turd is what we get, a song that's trying to be 'Roar' Pt 2 but without any of the flair or magic that made that song great, this was just flat and uninspired. This was supposed to be the theme for the Olympics but where's the imagination and power, this just plods along and feels like such a slog to get through and was actually worried that Katy might not be able to bounce back from this (thankfully she did with the awesome 'C2TR'). I honestly thought that this may have damaged her career, considering it's her big comeback and it flopped pretty badly. So in all this is definitely one of her weakest singles along with ('Thinking Of You', 'Starstrukk' & 'This Is How We Do')...actually this may be worse than all them put together.
