Arguably the best modern Corrie actress so yay for that fact alone.

Kate Oates has promised a new direction for her, so that has me optimistic that her return will be better than her exit :lol: plus the show is far better now than it was then!

I LOVED nasty/bitchy Carla when she first started out. Then we had Victim Carla who was an insufferable MESS to watch.

Coronation Street is launching a brand-new promo today (August 18) that will take fans back through 57 years of the ITV soap.

 

The exciting Corrie campaign depicts iconic moments from each decade of the Weatherfield soap – and shows not only the scenes themselves, but also the craft involved in creating them.

 

Some of the scenes were recreated on the Coronation Street set, while others were recreated at Shepperton Studios by acclaimed art director Matt Gant.

 

The costumes were made by the award-winning Michelle Mays using archive photography, footage and references from the soap's archivist. Actors were also cast to match the original performances and emulate the moments featured.

 

Coronation Street's executive producer, Kieran Roberts said: "We're delighted to have such a brilliant marketing campaign celebrating Coronation Street's past, present and future.

 

"These promos are simply stunning and I'm sure viewers will love them as much as they love Corrie itself."

Corrie is the one soap I record. I dip into others if there is a major cast change or storyline which grabs me.

 

I hate the media revealing twists long before they're broadcast.

The timing of it was really good - I never thought that Phelan had killed Andy in the first place but I'd kind of forgotten all about him. Congratulations to Corrie for pulling off a genuine twist.
