I noticed that it wasn't showing up for me when I went to listen to it around 10am-ish yday. I found it coz Joseph posted a screenshot of it on the New Music Friday playlist, but when that was the only issue for me. But then again, I was working 12-6 so if that's the time it was playing up, then I wouldn't have been affected.

Wouldn't Harry being released later in the day have had a bit of an effect here?

Approx 8.15, and as soon as it was added it got the Hot Hits and NMF adds simultaneously so he didn't miss many hours of streams considering big releases are usually out at 5.00.

Yeah I don't think the time it got added was a problem, but I certainly know some people had trouble finding it. Will be interesting to see tomorrow's update, I think Harry will probably drop a bit now the New Music Friday playlist isn't advertised but he'll stabilise going forward.

'Galway Girl' is now falling faster than 'Shape of You' so maybe it won't get ahead of it ever unless it gets another surge. 'Symphony' gaining strong still, IF Harry continues to be streamed at this rate and falling a lot in iTunes then MAYBE Clean Bandit still have a chance. That said, Harry has a massive head-start in iTunes from Friday which is about 10k lead I presume? It'll be hard to beat.

I really massively overestimated Harry! Thought it would ease to #1 on Spotify with about 700k daily streams. I guess the song is not Spotify-friendly enough for such a huge impact, no doubt a tropical house number would have served him better in that respect but good on him for doing something different.

 

Maybe we'll have a one week #1 for the first time since Zayn then!

I even thought Harry could open with 1 million on day one (naively) :) guess the song does not stimulate multi-listening

Regarding 'Shape of You' you forgot to include extra streams from the remix (which is extra 120k spotify plays ~ 1000 sales), and I think it'll stay in the top-3, but there's a chance this could fall to 4 indeed!
