SUMMARY-

- All Kendrick tracks bar HUMBLE. in free-fall now. Expect HUMBLE. to do a Starboy and stay in the top 10 when everything else is gone.

- Jason Derulo climbs back to 16, that'd be 13 if Kendrick hadn't have released.

- KATO has a big jump, maybe that's because I predicted it to do so. #psychicmdh

- Cheat Codes near the top 100, and G-Eazy climbs rapidly once again due to F&F8 screenings last night. Could be a hit!

- More good progress for Maggie Lindemann, nearly top 100 without any Hot Hits support.

- Unforgettable by French Montana has a GIANT jump, no idea why but looks like it's catching on. Haven't heard it yet.

- Disciples continue to climb!!

Unbelievable discrepancy between Disciples' iTunes and Spotify positions...it's such a shame that this Hot Hits UK playlist pretty much dictates which songs smash or don't get a proper chance, particularly for songs by non a-listers or superstars, who can't make their presence felt as easily without it.

Give it time - this one last week it wasn't even in the top 200 and has climbed a huge amount over the last few days

Combined

1. Ed Sheeran - Shape Of You (536,555) (-22,597)

2. Ed Sheeran - Galway Girl (448,193) (-20,551)

3. Clean Bandit Feat Zara Larsson - Symphony (437,930) (-20,578)

Think 'Shape Of You' will manage to return to number one this week as I'm sure Bank holiday will help it's streams, although even though it's only 2,000 streams at least 'Symphony has gained a little! It should be a close battle but it all depends on if 'Symphony' can return to number one on Spotify and iTunes soon. #SymphonyStreamingParty :cheer:

Surprised the new Royal Blood single hasn't risen - the band were surprisingly strong on streams for an artist of their genre coming up to the release of their 1st album, so surprised this one hasn't stuck just yet. We'll see if it picks up traction though.
Gaga in at a disappointing #90!

That's a lot higher than I expected!

Really? Sunday is a slow day on Spotify so I really thought she could debut top 50 considering the big buzz, the song was everywhere yesterday, was expecting the crazy Gaga fans to stream it like crazy

2 Shape 399K +82K= 481K

It does amaze me people still cling on to the itunes chart so dearly. It really is no indicator anymore of what will be a hit, Spotify is. As itunes keeps shrinking fanbase acts like Steps and Gaga will do well on there as it becomes less and less a form to which the general public listens to/buys music.

It is going to be like Kylie, Melanie C and Take That being top of the physical charts soon with itunes.

Gaga in at #1 on 'Pop Rising', a Spotify playlist with over 750k followers :D Also #8 on 'The Pop List', which has over 350k!

-x-

'Symphony' gaining 12,000 on 'Shape Of You' pull through clean Bandit :shaking:
There's no chance we are unfort seeing the first time a songs went back tonno1 for a while this eeek unfort!
Considering its a low sales week, and SOY is looking most likely going back to #1, maybe Ed Sheeran's concert has had some effect which started off and been the Easter break the general public have gone away for the Easter weekend, and most of them will be coming back today.
I still think Clean Bandit will make it! Think that regardless we'll all be perched for the midweeks this afternoon :D

No one 'clings' to iTunes, it's still a valid and popular way of purchasing music and still generates good discussion on here

Hang on to your hat, regarding mids, most likely tomorrow or Wednesday the latest. Read opening post in the FCP thread topic :drama: cough BH Monday syndrome cough

I wouldn't say it was popular, especially when compared to streaming. It is also dying at a fast rate, you will be getting the #1 digital seller selling under 10k by year end I'm sure.
