yeah I'm really convinced that labels have to pay for a slot now. Otherwise it makes no sense that Lord Huron (who?) and Maggie Lindemann (who?) are getting playlisted over Disciples.

Yep with Maggie Lindemann, but Lord Huron's success is nearly entirely down to heavy use in 13 Reasons Why.

Tbh It's annoying to see anyone harp on about any artist they dislike a hundred times over whether it's Ed, Clean Bandit, Drake etc. Everyone has different opinions but they only need to state that they don't want someone at #1 once or twice and then leave it. Yes I'm meaning the Ed people as well. Although I can kinda see why people do a lot with Ed cause they are sick of his dominance and would prefer someone different!

 

For what it's worth I don't think Symphony is as good as Rockabye personally but I'd like a change at the top.

This will mean that when the downloads die out to the extent that even a sales top-5 won't guarantee an overall top-40 (will happen in a year) in 95%+ of cases you'll have to pay to get into the charts, even a top-40. Yay. :mansoncheer:

I like it and would rather it held the record for weeks at No1 than Drake or Frankie Laine
