she's touring later this year in the US with maroon 5 (:/) and she recently featured on the 'new' years and years single. all this suggests a new album is forthcoming.

i predict a fair amount of max martin.

I disagree. I know she's a part of Max's team, but I think she'll continue using the Wolf Cousins only along with other producers. I don't think her and Max would mesh well on her own work.

Omg yess <3 Talking Body remains more of a jam than a jammy dodger (that joke >>) so can't wait

I've heard a 30 second preview for each song and it doesn't sound promising :(

From what I heard, the lyrics aren't raw like they are on QOTC and she has gone full on pop. Kind of gutted.. and this is coming from a massive Tove Lo fan.

she is/(was) one of the best representations of a popstar singing pop songs well

tbh anything will be better than 'cold man' so roll on lady wood

Well, I'd class most of QOTC as alternate-pop (is that even a genre lol)

But it just sounds very dancey lol.. idk how to explain it but I am very disappointed

'blog pop' i'd agree but now she's just adding some synths in
She was total power pop on QOTC. I'm really hoping Cool Girl and Influence are the only songs with that vibe on the album. She was ALL about those explosive, melodic choruses and this "speak singing one line repeated ad nauseum" thing isn't doing it for me.
I'm hoping for a good mix of these subdued, less melodic styles with her familiar brand of explosive pop moments, as the latter tracks are all the more effective (at least for me) when kept to a quota. I'd much rather a bit more experimentation with styles and tempos than an album full of the sensibilities present in the last one...though of course it helps that I adore both 'Cool Girl' and 'Influence'. :kink:

This is BRILLIANT! My excitement/interest in this album had dwindled and this has totally reinvigorated it. Probably my favourite lyric of the year in the chorus!
