July 27, 20186 yr Love It If We Made It is damn gooood *.* the second half especially, hoping the album keeps up to that standard as i wasn't that keen on Give Yourself a Try (which just sounded like they took the Disorder riff and made it 10 times screechier)
July 31, 20186 yr Some new song titles and descriptions have been revealed from the album, I'm really looking forward to I Couldn't Be More in Love! Edited July 31, 20186 yr by WhoOdyssey
August 8, 20186 yr https://www.nme.com/news/music/the-1975-new...tootime-2364440 The second single is called 'TooTimeTooTimeTooTime' and is out on August 15th, apparently LIIWMI was just a promotional single.
August 8, 20186 yr According to the fans who appeared in the music video, it's the song that Healy described in The Guardian as: There is a mellow song about rehab and he reckons their “Drake-y” tropical house experiment will be their biggest hit. I'm very intruiged!
August 10, 20186 yr Totally intrigued for new material - getting to really like "Love It If We Made It" now - heading towards the 'love' zone! Think it's gonna be an era of needing to let the material grow but that's fine with me!
August 15, 20186 yr Y9kT5U2izfc It's very different from what I was expecting, it's gonna take me a while to process it before my thoughts. :P
August 15, 20186 yr Right: time for my thoughts now I've 'digested' it :P It wasn't at all what I was expecting, a lot more pop than I thought. But it's grown on me a lot over the listens. I'm happy each one of the three singles sound completely different from each other, I love The 1975 because they experiment a lot. I can easily see this being their biggest hit, it already has a great position on the Spotify playlists.
August 15, 20186 yr It's very 'One Dance'... in a weird way. Regardless of how good it is, I can see it being a top 10 hit at the least.
August 15, 20186 yr I like this on first listen - the most instant of the 3 on first listen. I'm really on "Love It If We Made It" at the moment. Edit: I like it even more on second listen. I think it manages to sound commercial and like a hit without them having sold their soul. It still feels very The 1975. Comparison with Years & Years who sounded like they'd sold their soul for "If You're Over Me" (to me anyway). Edited August 15, 20186 yr by Hans
August 15, 20186 yr It's definitely more of a hit than anything else this era and it's catchy too, I've got it in my head after it's finished which is always a good sign. What bothers me though is how low the vocal is in the mix - I feel like I can barely hear him!
August 18, 20186 yr TOOTIME is the 1975 do Daft Punk and I approve heartily. The 3 songs so far from this album have all been ace. Looking forward to it!
August 18, 20186 yr The title of this topic is bugging me, it's 'inquiry', not 'enquiry'. :P Edited August 18, 20186 yr by WhoOdyssey
August 23, 20186 yr There is a poster at Reading Festival saying '30 November', so I assume that's when the album will be released. Just 3 more months!
August 29, 20186 yr The Spotify vertical video has now been uploaded as the official video: 4fxPQUKfim4
September 7, 20186 yr There is a poster at Reading Festival saying '30 November', so I assume that's when the album will be released. That's correct. Either way, the music video of "Love It If We Made It" comes out on September 18. Edited September 7, 20186 yr by Juan Carlos ⚡️
