May 12, 20179 yr Author Just when you thought they were done with Gaga, they go and pull a shocker like that out of the bag! I mean they'll probably just keep it on the C-list for 3 weeks and then drop it, but it's still quite a turn up for the books. Really strange of them not to playlist 'Despacito' seen as it's heading to #1 - was 'These Days' the last #1 not to be playlisted by Radio 1? Good to see lots of new additions for a change, although I thought they'd add HAIM straightaway, they normally love them. Surprising that 'Galway Girl' is already gone after just 8 weeks on the playlist. That's a playlist flop by his standards! Also thought Kendrick would get more than just 3 weeks on the A-list. I believe 'I'm The One' is the first song to jump straight from the C-list to the A-list since '7 Years' last Feb. Edited May 12, 20179 yr by M4NG0

The reason they playlisted it is because she's a big artist and it's doing well. The delays are probably somewhat to do with the amount of new releases there's been and she's probably not their top priority with them giving an extra push to Radio 1 Big Weekend artists.

It's also to do with the fact that they didn't playlist her last couple of singles - people assumed that meant that they were done with her, which wasn't an unreasonable assumption in this case, but I'm glad I've been proved wrong. I hope they give her next era a chance too, as long as she produces the quality.
