The new chart stream ratio rule comes into force next week, so may be a chance for it yet. It's a non mover at #49 this week so it's showing stability at least.

It's doing what Best Behaviour did, it's weird as unpredictable has such a similar chart run so far.

 

It really needs to be higher up on Hot Hits to start progressing.

 

I'm confident it'll go too 40 this week though, it's been doing better on streaming and iTunes so far.

I really hope it can at least make top 20 it's honestly one of my favourites of the year, totally generic but an easy listen.

I think it's time to face the facts: Louisa is chart poison.

 

Considering the exposure plus the fact that most people want to see Olly's dique this should be number one.

The "Louisa Curse" as I like to say, an uneccessary addition to a song. Gotta give it to her team though they are trying really hard to make her relevant. I think this collaboration with Olly is a sister-single to Ben Haenows single with Kelly Clarkson. Both generic and struggling in the charts. If this enters the charts this week & then peaks at #21 I'll be laughing

In all fairness though, it's the 4th single from Olly's album. It would never have even been playlisted by Capital or Radio 1 or done anywhere near as well if it didn't feature Louisa.

 

IMO she's a welcomed addition to the song, I think she sounds incredible on it.

Louisa has released good songs but she needs a Bleeding Love/Halo kinda song... they should really fish for bigger fish... they clearly have invested $$$, judging by the huge amount of payola invested to put Best Behaviour on all Spotify playlists... but still at the end of the day, the songs are just ok, same with Unpredictable...

Summed up really, killer song and she'll nail it.

 

Also re Unpredictable she definitely brought something to the song for sure. It's a nice song, but just nice - it isn't a massive hit.

Sadly they didn't perform though.

 

I thought they were having a tennis battle with Philip and Holly but that didn't happen either, although a swig ball was set up judging by Olly's insta!

 

I'm just so glad it's definitely making the top 40. It's been pretty successful considering it is the 4th single.

Even on XF the focus was always the fact that she could sing like Christina Aguilera. Yet out she comes into the pop world and they're giving her Cheryl Cole level solo material for her singles. Decent poppy tunes, but not saying anything about her or even requiring her particular skills or talents to sing them. Can you imagine Leona winning XF and then coming out to release that kind of caliber of thing as her solo material??

 

Having said that I do quite like this as a pop song. It's not the kind of thing I could see any of the big-voiced pop girls doing - which is who Louisa should be aiming for (!), but it's a cute track.

Olly's 18th UK top 40 hit in eight years. Atta lad. Up to #5 on UK radio airplay this week as well!

Such a shame was hoping it'd at least crack the top 25/30 😩
