So, a few months ago (because I held off finishing it for a STUPIDLY long time) I finally revealed my EOY Top 20! But now we're pretty much halfway through 2017, which of those songs are still my favourites, which have grown and which have I simply gone off?

Here's my Top 20 as a reminder:

2 Walk Off the Earth - Hold On (The Break)

3 Morland - Skin

4 Walking on Cars - Don't Mind Me

5 JP Cooper - September Song

6 Zara Larsson - Lush Life

7 Sergey Lazarev - You Are the Only One

8 Wretch 32 ft. Knox Brown - All a Dream

9 The Magician ft. Brayton Bowman - Shy

10 Royce Lovett - I Wanna Love You

11 Joe Stone & Ferreck Dawn - Man Enough

12 Amir - On Dirait

13 Michael Calfan - Nobody Does it Better

14 Jax Jones ft. Mike Dunn & MNEK - House Work

15 Kaiser Chiefs - Parachute

16 Douwe Bob - Slow Down

17 Tom Odell - Here I Am

18 Alle Farben ft. YOUNOTUS - Please Tell Rosie

19 Disciples - Daylight

20 SeeB ft. Jacob Banks - What Do You Love

Starting 1st June! Feel free to predict/hype!

 20 [10] Royce Lovett - I Wanna Love You

Royce Lovett's Chart History:

2016 01 I Wanna Love You

No surprise to see everyone's favourite 4-point BJSC entry dropping down into last place. Royce Lovett is currently follow-up-less, mainly due to the fact he's not had a follow-up single yet :kink: Giving this a listen, it still sounds quite fresh and takes me back to a nice time when I was on study leave and really able to get familiar with Buzzjack and BJSC. Although this bringing back memories of coming dead last means that it has to do the same here.

:right: 19 [19] Disciples - Daylight

Disciples' Chart History:

2016 01 Daylight

2017 01 On My Mind

So Disciples' 'Daylight' remains at #19, saved from the last spot by Royce. Listening to it now, I'm not fulley sure how it got to #1 in my Personal Chart, never mind end up in the EOY Top 20. It just doesn't have that something 'special' to it, although this is in hindsight, obviously comparing it to their recent hit 'On My Mind', which at the moment seems FAR superior. It does bring back memories though, and not having heard it a million times like some of the songs still to come does make it nice to listen to once in a while.

Tom Odell's Chart History:

2016 03 Here I Am

2016 03 Silhouette

Here I Am reached the Top 20 originally due to it's longevity (spending 3 weeks at #3) but I'm not sure if it'd still make it now. It was catchy when it came out, and the best song from Tom Odell for me, but there isn't anything really that makes it 'stand out'.

Joe Stone's Chart History:

2016 01 Man Enough

Ferreck Dawn's Chart History:

2016 01 Man Enough

A cover that I loved at the time (and that was still riding off Joe Stone's success of The Party), it's not as great now as it once was!

Jax Jones' Chart History:

2016 03 House Work (ft. Mike Dunn & MNEK)

2016 04 You Don't Know Me (ft. RAYE)

Mike Dunn's Chart History:

2016 03 House Work (Jax Jones ft. Mike Dunn & MNEK)

MNEK's Chart History:

2016 03 House Work (Jax Jones ft. Mike Dunn & MNEK)

Not going to lie, this is still catchy as :music: I think that the reson it's dropped is because it's another dance song, and this type of music, however good it is, unfortunately never seems to resonate with me or have any personal meaning :(

Well that's a good start for SeeB then climbing at least 5 places.

Poor poor Royce just can't catch a break!

I'm hoping Shy & Nobody Does It Better have exceeded their original positions.

I don't think I could have justified putting Royce anywhere other than last after his dismal BJSC performance :P

SeeB was towards the end of the year so it's definitely grown on me since then!

Thanks for commenting :D

 15 [06] Zara Larsson - Lush Life

Zara Larsson's Chart History:

2016 02 Lush Life

2016 04 Girls Like (Tinie Tempah ft. Zara Larsson)

2016 10 This One's For You (David Guetta ft. Zara Larsson)

2016 34 I Would Like

2017 21 So Good

2017 29 Symphony (Clean Bandit ft. Zara Larsson)

Obviously Lush Life was an exciting discovery for me, it was an amazingly catchy pop tune and Zara was unknown to me barring Never Forget You. Unfortunately, stupid amounts of radio overplay - and the fact that none of Zara's follow-ups have come anywhere close - have led to it taking a tumble this year.

Douwe Bob's Chart History:

2016 02 Slow Down

2016 03 How Lucky We Are

And now we have our first climber - a Dutch Eurovision entry coming from Douwe Bob! Very country-y (in fact I sent his follow-up to BJSC country ;) ) and a chorus that is instantly memorable and catchy!

2017 20 Tied Up (ft. Julian Perretta)

Brayton Bowman's Chart History:

2016 02 Shy (The Magician ft. Brayton Bowman)

This song was well known or spending an AMAZING 5 weeks in the Top 10  and is still insanely catchy now. The reason it has dropped is simply because it doesn't have any personal resonation with me and, whilst I still love it, it's clearly not going to be my favourite song ever.

SHY is amazing, love the kind of chorus/bass drop thing. Didn't The Magician have a minor UK hit in 2014

Alle Farben's Chart History:

2016 01 Please Tell Rosie (ft. YOUNOTUS)

2016 06 Bad Ideas

2017 01 Little Hollywood (Alle Farben & Janieck)

YOUNOTUS' Chart History:

2016 01 Please Tell Rosie (ft. YOUNOTUS)

Our second climber of the competition, you can't deny that this is one of the catchiest songs out there, and has held up incredibly well for me! An incredibly inventive song and video which has led Alle Farben to 2 more Top 10 hits in my Personal Chart!

Walking On Cars' Chart History:

2016 01 Don't Mind Me

Our first Top 5 dropout, falling straight out of the Top 10! 'Speeding Cars' was released just before I started my Personal Chart, and unfortunately remains quite a lot better, with this song only reaching #4 by being in the TOp 10 at one of the quietest points of the year.

Michael Calfan's Chart History:

2016 01 Nobody Does it Better

What happened to this guy? After a drab Top 40 single with Treasured Soul, this banger came out of nowhere! It's held up really well for me as well, and I'm looking forward to some new output from him!

Sergey Lazarev's Chart History:

2016 01 You Are the Only One

2016 09 Breaking Away

2016 04 Idealniy Mir

Down a short fall to #9 is the still-amazing Sergey Lazarev with 'You Are the Only One', the song which should definitely have won Eurovision! Holds up really well for me!

Kaiser Chiefs' Chart History:

2016 01 Parachute

2016 04 Hole In My Soul

2017 06 We Stay Together

And no surprise to see fellow Leodensians the Kaiser Chiefs climb up 7 places to #8! A different style from them for this song, but I really like it!
