Song 15- The 90s

I don't really know what to say about this one. So sad, so poignant. So fantastic. Just wish the 'missing' lyrics were there as they were so amazing. Nevertheless, a great song. The trappings of fame ,eh? I'm going to give this 10/10 for its emotional impact. 'I'm pissed and I'm ****ed and I'm only 19' :cry:

 

 

Song 16- Summertime

Always loved this song. And unlike most of you I love this version as well. There is a bit more production but it doesn't bother me. Such a laid back song. I give it 8/10.

 

 

Song 17- Dickhead

:lol: Where to start? I know I should 'tut tut' and not like this one. But I do. I'm embarrassed to say I think the lyrics are hilarious and I actually like the chorus too. A modern day classic. :P I give it 8/10.

 

 

I'm going to change some of my scores I think. ^_^

 

Anyway, overall I give this album 9/10. I really like most of the tracks. I really love a fair few of the tracks. It excites me. It confuses me. It moves me. It's sooooo not boring. It's soooooo not 'safe'. It's a challenging listen. But very rewarding. Hubba Hubba. :wub:

I don't have time for a full review, but these are the stunning songs that have been on repeat on my i-tunes all evening:

 

The 80's, Kiss Me, Summertime, Lovelight, She's Madonna, We're The Pet Shop Boys, The 90's....

 

This is his best album in years, imo :wub:

Here is mine short opinion about Rudebox:

 

Rudebox - Didn't love it at first, it grown on me, but I'm not crazy about it. It took me a long time to say: Ok, that is fine. I listened it so much times, but it's just ok... :wacko: 8 / 10

 

Viva Live On Mars - Loved it after five or six listening. Love music and Robbie voice in it. Makes me dance. :dance: :lol: 10 / 10

 

Lovelight - I still think Robbie's voice in it is too girly, but after saw video and listening song a lot, I could say I love it. 9 / 10

 

Bongo Bong - :lol: I'm always laugh when I hear that song. It's like a joke song for me. I like Robbie voice in it and I'll like that it is not a cover, that is a Robbie song. Have a good rhythm. :dance: But, that should not be next single. :angry: 7 / 10

 

She's Madonna - My favourite on album. :heart: First I heard only couros of it and it was just ok, but after I heard all song, right after listening it for the first time, I loved it. :wub: Should be 3rd single, with Madonna in video. :wub: :lol: I know that is not very real, but I hope for that. -_- :lol: 11 / 10 :lol:

 

Keep On - I see that a lot of people here like it, but I don't. For now... Maybe I will... :unsure: 6 / 10

 

Good Doctor - I had a little problem about lyrics in songs, because I'm not that good in English. :( So, I must say that I don't understand that one. :blush: I don't like melody in that song. :( 5 / 10

 

The Actor - Great One. Also great voice of Rob in it and very melodic, imo. :wub: 10 / 10

 

Never Touch That Switch - Not that bad. I see that not many people in here love it, but for me is ok. 7 / 10

 

Louise - I don't like covers. <_< Louise is a very very slow ballad and have a bit boring melody. 7 / 10

 

We Are The Pet Shop Boys - Too much eletronic sound in one song. :wacko: 6 / 10

 

Burslem Normals - Don't understand it and it's very slow for my taste. -_- 6 / 10

 

Kiss Me - Like I said, I don't like covers, but this one is the best on album (after Loveligh, right? That is cover also? ) 8 / 10

 

The 80's - Didn't love it at first, because I can't listening rap! But this one really have nice melody and this is not a kind of rap that I realy don't love. Robbie voice, again great. Great story and refrain. :wub: Also I must to thanks to Robbieca, because she helped me to understand more lyrics. :heart: 10 / 10

 

The 90's - Same story like from The 80's. Don't love rap, love this one. Also great story, and even better refrain than in The 80's. I love it more than The 80's -_- 10 / 10

 

Summertime - Just need to say that I like old version :heart: and I think is much better than that one. -_- 8 / 10

 

Dickhead - I still didn't download it. :kink:

 

 

 

I like the album, more than I did. But, this is not that kind of Robbie I love. -_- Compares to Intensive Care and other Robbie's albums Rudebox is not that good. But looking it all alone, is good. I support that Robbie want's to do experiment, so for Rudebox 8 / 10 -_-
