Wow Shania's single is awful to the max, there'll be zero impact for sure

 

It might not do much on the singles chart or streaming, but I can see it doing well on radio and be a consistent seller if airplay is good.

 

I am glad to see Shania is sticking with country and not trying to chase current music trends.

She has an Arctic bungalow inspired song with Quaver on the album.

Well that song doesn't chase any trends surely, it sounds like a Eurovision reject from the 90s

 

I own three albums of hers and that was painful to listen. Maybe it's the autotune that turns me off big time

Power doing so well surprises me. IMO NMSS is so much better.

 

Stormzy does really add to it though to be fair.

George Ezra and Solveig/ALMA sound good on first listen, Shania and Jax Jones sound pretty poor but that may be in comparison to previous material

Yeah the auto tune is definitely noticeable.

 

For people expecting her comeback to be very pop in style it is probably a surprise. I do think it does sound similar to her country stuff still. If her previous work is anything to go by, I would expect a more pop sounding mix to come out between now and album release. Worked well for Shania in Europe before by giving her songs a pop mix

There's very little auto tone in it though and in hr rdefence she nearly lost her voice completly and has a condition that affected it

 

I also doubt her new music will be too much like her older stuff since 1) Mutt is no longer involved 2) she said she wanted to explore other sounds. It will have the obvious Shania twang but I'm expecting something different.

Agree on Camila and FH. NMSS is the only Little Mix song Syco ever reduced during release, because they were desperate. They didn't even reduce Hair or LMLY when they are just outside peaking top 10. I predict Power can go top 10 without a discount so wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't get one. Hoping Swish gets a discount 🙌🏼

Wouldn't surprise me if There For You was reduced again - seeing as its streaming has picked up it would be a good way to try and reboost the sales side of things

Sensible move for Olly to be reduced. Although, I have noticed lots of songs then drop drastically as soon as they are put back at 99p.

 

Fifth Harmony definitely need a reduction.
