He does tho. I'm SORRY to say this but the spam culture that goes on pretty much unchallenged and even encouraged is not nice to see at all and I've bit my tongue for months over it. And yeah I know I was guilty of it in our team forum but that was consigned to a locked forum so doesn't really count :lol" I actually really like most of the members who do this and it's sad to see.

Anyway this should be fun to watch at least, coming for top 100 like 106-110 tbh.

 

To be honest though, I can't say I've noticed much spamming outside of teams and the shoutbox.

I remember a time when being a spammer and topping this thing was a bad thing, I miss those days. I mean, MIDWEEKS? Predictions?

Enthusiasm not spam, no? Predicting anything is just a bit of fun. Fair enough if you think it's a pointless thing to do or whatever, but you could say that with literally anything :lol:

Yes, the PULLING OUT ISN'T EFFECTIVE thread is really helping keep the spam down.
The new additions to the mod team hasn't really changed anything anyway. We all know how spammy they have been in the past but they have matured since then (kind of) because of their new role to the site. That example may be titled in CAPITALS and have a rather, uh, short OP but it is actually creating awareness also (even if not too many people on here found it personally useful oop)

Of late it's not even necessarily been a 'battle' - I don't tend to ever be near to #1 anymore so I just join in with the 'midweeks' banter etcetera. The novelty of being personal charts #1 has worn off (for myself, at least) so I agree - said 'spam culture' that's 'just to get to posters #1' isn't particularly a problem in my opinion.

Yea even I'd agree that that's died down now.

 

Guys if you genuinely believe a topic is spammy and isn't adding anything to the lounge, regardless of who posted it, report it because these allegations or whatever are being brought up, yet nobody can actually point out examples or give a more detailed response...

 

No the threads Lotti posted recently don't count.
