I'm mad at myself for not checking her out sooner. One of the few new pop stars to actually captivate me in a while. Her album is excellent on first listens. Is this making waves in America at all?

yes it's top 50 on US Spotify

Well I'm stanning now. 'New Rules' is the most captivating music videos I've seen since 'Toxic', tbh. It's original, authentic and exactly what first class pop culture should be about.

That female unity has me shook, so flawlessly done.

Awe Tyler

I saw her live last year and she is amazing...she owned the stage and felt like she does this for decades and not as a new comer.

Why didn't you tell me I wasn't living?

Her album is amazing. Each track has its own identity but the album is so cohesive... I feel like she is staying in the current music trend but putting energy and personality into it, something that has been missing from the pop scene.

Her latest performances tell the opposite :/

This is legit one of the best pop songs I have EVER heard, no wonder it is smashing.I just can't get enough of this, it's really something special.
only in 2017 could this be the 7th single from the album and it not be from a re-release! just imagine where she'd be if they had this track (& video) at the beginning.
I feel like this was one of the rushed on songs they added after the millionth push back, but thank god tbh  To think this has an actual shot at #1 when you think about is INSANE, but for a 7th single even top 5 or top 10 and the huge hit it will surely be is still incredible and should set her up well for next era. I knew it was too good not to smash but I'm still bowled over by how well it's doing so quickly.

All you need is one break through smash.

This is it. Work Bitch.

Still can't make out what the lyrics are. Someone's been to the Ariana Grande school of pronunciation.

"I got new rules amcamdam"?

I got new rules I count 'em

'Cause, you know, she counts the rules out!

1. Don't pick up the phone..

2. Don't let him in..

3. Don't be his friend..

AMCAMDAM

LMAO.

The scene in the first chorus where they are doing the choreography in the hotel hall... "I got new rooms I count em".

SCREAMING!!!!!!!!

I don't know how her album is doing but this is the song that made me invest in the vinyl/download. I'd love this to smash and for her to be nominated for a BRIT for best video as everyone else has said it already - it's such a fab video!

best moment in the video is when she opens the curtains and is suddenly by the pool, right?

f***ing iconic tbh.

My favorite part is the end when they are in the circle "don't, don't, don't". Like the empowerment and sense of unity gave me chills on first watch.

I managed to get this lyric, it was the one after I struggled with until Joseph told me!

"I gotta tell them to myself"
