July 19, 20177 yr I have it too! It's no 11/10 moment on first listen like Skyscraper, Heart Attack and Cool for the Summer all were but its very solid. The chorus is very instant, although my favourite part is the pre-chorus. I don't know if the production is letting it down a bit or if its just the version I have, it feels like it should be more BOOMING. Still very good and sounds like a grower with its urban gospel sound, and Demi always makes sure her songs go somewhere and she does so again here with some big ad-libs at the end. People who aren't a fan of Demi's vocals certainly won't be a fan of this song. Rumours are the video is coming soon so I look forward to the full package. Not sure it's a major hit, but will probably do a typical Demi single of low top 20 on the Hot 100 (purely based on first listen instinct of course), we shall see how it grows! Another great single from Demi nevertheless, would give it an 8/10 at this stage - about on par with Neon Lights. Are you being serious? come on
July 19, 20177 yr People still do that? Who knows! Are you being serious? come on When DENA makes a listenable song then come back
July 19, 20177 yr I watched the video because I thought I'd try and give the song another chance...NO. JUST NO. How can anybody possibly listen to that and enjoy it? It sounds like Jessie J on a bad day  (I love Demi normally, so I'm just really disappointed )
July 19, 20177 yr Demi just seems like she is going through a bit of an identity crisis right now... :(
July 19, 20177 yr I'm not really sure she's ever had a musical identity except for her first 2 albums which were an extension of her Camp Rock identity. She hasn't really stuck to a sound from 3rd album onwards, just high quality but admittedly quite faceless pop bar Skyscraper. But Demi's fantastic vocals (even if not to everyone's tastes) overcome the sometimes generic material to make it a Demi song. Selena's found her identity very well since Heart Wants What It Wants but I did find Revival a bit samey and less appealing than her pure pop with The Scene. I never get bored with Demi as you never know what to expect next.
July 19, 20177 yr Tbf I think this is more her thing, she always said she wanted to do a more R&B album. But I don't feel it suits her as much, her voice just isn't really right for it.
July 20, 20177 yr I must be one of the only ones on here that actually genuinely likes this ? and I'm not really a Demi fan but I'm digging this ! Edited July 20, 20177 yr by troylovesmusic
July 20, 20177 yr It's not bad, I do prefer Demi Popato but this is alright and it's nice to hear her go in a different direction (preferably temporarily though)
