Best episode of the season by FAR, THIS IS WHAT DRAG RACE IS!!!

 

I knew what was coming but I'm still shook, and all the drama leading to it!!! That's exactly what the season has been missing, not just the ending but everyone coming back, confronting all the issues... I get totally why DeLa did what she did - she wanted t leave on her own terms and felt fulfilled. She's kind of beat the show now because they wanted this fierce competition between the queens, but hey DeLa did send the strongest queen home :kink: I started the season off thinking she was trying so hard to be Miss Congeniality, but I think she really is. I truly believe she just felt more than fulfilled and that she didn't need to carry on and snatch the win, there are people there who need the validation or to prove themselves more and she gave it up for that.

 

 

But, whoever wins now kind of feels like a letdown, I adore Trixe with all my heart but we've all summed up her journey on the show and what it would mean if she won, so whilst she might be getting a RuDemption to win, it would kind of be by default. Plus she has the biggest career of the queens on the show and doesn't really need it, and is better outside of the show as we've said. Shangela is everything that Drag Race is about and just has *it*, she's very Adore Delano in that she isn't the most polished or perfectly rounded queen, but in everything she does she has that charm and warmth and wit that you can't teach or grow, you have it or you don't. So she'd be a brilliant winner if you just look at her, but you'd just think "well she only won because DeLa took herself out". I certainly won't be as annoyed as some will if Trixie wins because I stan her like I'm a straight teenage white girl, but that all remains true imo.

 

The actual challenge was fab too, my favourite this season alongside the Bitchelor. All I'll say at Bebe being top 2 is that she must have hella dirt on the judges :rofl: I truly don't think I have ever been so baffled at a top 2/win in a challenge....

I actually thought BeBe was really really good this week...her part was fun and she delivered it...I wished she wasn't that good this week lol.

It was nice to see DeLa leave on her own terms and she seemed pretty sure about her choice but I had really hoped she would continue to walk the entire series and snatch the win because she was by far my favourite. I was also hoping Kennedy would be booted off and Aja would be the queen to be brought back (she's always been a fave of mine anyway but I do feel her rap verse & delivery was by far the best of that group) so this episode went pretty terribly for me :cry:

i actually thought the eliminated queens would win as they were better individually.

 

Bebe came off like a shady c**t not even looking at Aja while talking to her being all above everything in the first part of the episode which by the way was AMAZING. queens having a long bitchfest was such a entertainting thing to watch. *.*

the thought about Dela sending herself crossed my mind but I threw it away completely when she was deliberating thinking it would be a bit too wild.

 

okay and actually getting to the whole point of what i'm trying to say here... I'M f***ING SHOOK TO THE CORE. OH MY GOD. I have never gagged like that to anything Drag Race-related before. EVER. 5/6 wins though, she was an obvious overall winner and everybody knew it at that point. The more I think about it the more it makes sense. What I don't like is other queens are being all condescending and cynical about this saying it's all because of negative fan reactions and shit. It might have been partly because of that. You cannot possibly deny that in this day and age! But is it SO HARD to believe that someone will do it just because they really feel bad about eliminating someone?!

 

I am also seeing people being all paranoid saying it was planned and they booted off BenDeLa because she was overshadowing other queens and that she's too obvious of a winner at this point and they need to spice things up. Which is a bit ludicrous. What contract would allow it lmao?!! There could be a huge backlash to the show if found out!

Everyone in the top 5 did amazing this week! I think Aja did he best overall and Thorgy and Milk really popped but the top 5 group was more cohesive as a whole. I’m not sure about top 2 but I really think Bebe was actually really entertaining this week, for the first time since the talent show. Her lip sync wig taking off was a MESS though, this isn’t season 2!

 

Dela self elimaimting was shocking and I’m going to miss her talent (I’m sure the show will too) but it was worth it for Ru’s pissed off and shocked reaction.

 

The winner of this episode was Chi Chi’s ‘The fact of the matter is Milk has a bit of an ego; everybody praises him for being a hot guy and I think he kinda thinks that that translates to him being a hot...Milk...and it doesn't...’

And yeah I am usually the first to be cynical but Drag Race isn't and never has been about that plus you could tell everyone, including Ru, was shocked and she was so pissed off that Ben had redfined it and "beaten" the rules :lol: It was genuinely a shock and a huge move, I really just can't see that it was in the contract all along :lol:

SHANGELA'S LIPSYNC !!!!! Omg I think that's an all time fave. I thought with that challenge Trixie finall had her win, but I knew when I saw Shangela's outfit it was hers. Trixie is my fave drag queen behind Bianca so as I have said, I'd be fine with her winning, but Shangela has three wins which just shows how far she's come. I love the thought of her going from first out in season 2 to winning this, I feel that both her and Trixie have that "it" factor that you can't teach or learn, even when they aren't at their best, they make you love them. You can't have CUNT without the C after all :lol:

So both do embody what it means to be an All Star, if we take Ben out of the equation bc it's not their fault she self eliminated so ether of their wins feels like "only because Ben isn't there", I'm happy for either.

I loved Shangela's performance in the Main Challenge but Triixie's runway was everything so happy they were the top 2 :heart:

Yeah, Shangela really took notes from other seasons that it's easier to win lip syncs with a gag which she used every single time. :lol:

 

Trixie's main challenge performance was absolutely HILARIOUS. It must be one of my favourite performances in acting challenges ever. I'm so glad she's finally stepping it up.

Trixie was best in the challenge this week, but I actually thought Morgan's runway was the best! It's a shame we had the edited down version because Shangela's inflated as she walked out and we didn't see that. Shangela's lip sync was so wrong it was right.

Holy God. Shangela's lip sync left me bald. That was incredible. What a performer. I laughed so much.

 

Trixie also slayed. She's so funny, and such a good comic actor. In the preview for next week, for the music video they're making, Trixie and Shangela both look absolutely stunning and like they're serving pop goddess realness.

 

Never has a top 2 been so obvious at this point and I'd be good with either Shangela or Trixie winning.

Shangela's lip sync has saved this series not being won by Ben - give her the crown now, literally the only one deserving. *bows down*

I've been rewatching season 3 and I think Shangela has among the most charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent of ANY queen. Like I said earlier she's got that *it* factor you can't learn or teach which I think is what Ru saw bringing her back for season 3. Every time she fails, she still turns it out and makes you want her to succeed. I'm so excited next week for another Read U Wrote with queens as brilliant as her and Trixie :wub:
