Actually DeLaCreme needs to show that she can do something else on lipsync challenge besides everything turning into a comedy...otherwise it's getting old really fast!!!

Why?

 

Comedy never gets old and it's her thing so why would she go out of her own way to maybe prove something to the judges. She would never be able to do splits and shit like other 'dancing divas'. Everyone has their style. I actually thought she mixed it well this time. As for Anaconda, it was BEGGING for a comedic performance

I felt like Ben gave up half way through. People are saying she threw the lip sync so she didn’t have to send anyone home which I guess could be true.

Yeah that's just Dela :lol: Whatever I've thought o her personality so far (and it was fine last night, just not episode 1) I'd find it way more suspicious and insincere if she was trying to do say what Aja does just because that's "in". It was a lipsync challenge and that's the exact kind of situation where Dela can really excel and be hilarious. Some of the best queens imo can turn pretty much anything into a comedy and i'd much rather have that the same old constant death drops and YAASSSS or whatever. Aja fills that space well enough, Dela has her space with the comedy and sort old fashioned almost slapstick exaggerated classic comedy vibe.

 

Also am I the only one feeling absolutely NOTHING for Bebe? I suppose her style of drag and "shtick" just aren't for me, but I find her performances SO boring. I get that season 1 was a lon time ago and that may be the reason her different stye stands out for others but it leaves me totally cold personally.

Bebe wasn’t really shown at all this week sadly :( hoping she gets bigger moments as the show progresses.

Oh, f***ing christ I'm sorry but milk looked nothing like Celine Dion....Thorgy actually looked like Stevie Nicks I thought and got a hard job because it's so hard to make her realized. Milk got an easy job of Celine and f***ed it up, how the f*** was she not bottom two.

 

My faves were the top 2 easily. The whole challenge was a mess though. I love RuPaul's songs but they were not needed I think it should have been like Herstory of the world and have them lip-syncing to the singer's lives

Alaska won 3 Lipsyncs based on comedy alone so as long as DeLa doesn't do the exact same thing every time them I'm fine with it always being funny - for me it makes for a more interesting lipsync than people just doing splits all around the stage

I don’t know, maybe the fact that she was in 2 lipsync challenges in a row, it felt like she was just repeating herself from episode 1 which indeed I agree that it was a killer performance.

 

Anyway it didnt work the second time hence why Shangela won the challenge.

how do you know tho? shangela was really strong in that lipsync and i thought they were neck and neck. judges did seem to have responded well to ben's comedy too

Brilliant challenge and episode, but the lip sync was a bit shit :/ Neither really deserved to win that. Correct top 2, never liked Kennedy but can't begrudge that with her performance. It's gutting for Trixie not to be top 2 again, I'd maybe have put her over DeLa but all 3 were hilarious. It's just a shame Milk took over and ruined Trixie's chance but equally trixie could have pushed it that bit more and just shone anyway. Thank god Milk has gone anyway!

And OMG DeLaCreme slaying the competition left and right...I don't know if she's always so good or just happens the themes to be everything on her alley...regardless I am very impressed and I hope she'll manage to be in finals.

 

Kennedy she really did redeemed herself this week...her character was hilarious...she got me laughing on tears :lol:

Okay, tonight's thoughts. Kennedy and Ben absolutely killed it, 100% the correct top two and I can't believe how much I'm supporting Ben now. I don't even think you can argue she's being "favoured", she's bringing EVERYTHING she has to these challenges and not missing a beat. I don't think Trixie was robbed of top two either, I personally think Shangela outperformed her tonight, however I do blame that on Milk. Trixie definitely had the character down, I just felt like the potential wasn't brought out because of Milk giving me some Season 4 Snatch Game realness. The unprofessionalism - TOO MUCH.

 

The challenge and the runway however have made this one of the strongest episodes ever, I'd go as far to say. The challenge was hilarious and goes to show how much better the challenges are when the queens script THEMSELVES rather than last week where the script was pre-written and was really lacklustre. The runway may have been my favourite ever and I don't even think there was a dud amongst them. Aja killed it and Chi Chi looked the best she's ever looked by a country mile, stunner.

 

As usual, I don't think I'll EVER stop rooting for Chi Chi and I teared up when I started to feel the walls were coming down around her this week. I pray, but with little optimism, she can find something to turn it around for her next week because I adore her so much. The lip sync was poor but then the song isn't exactly inspiring (sorry Lorde fans, but even if you love the song, it's a pretty tough song to sell amazingly well because of how it works on so many different levels) but I'd say the correct winner and I'm here for Kennedy being bitter enough to send Milk home. Now, please DON'T return.

 

A couple of sidenotes: Firstly, I'm LIVING for Chad and Alaska in the back every week. Secondly, I'm really stanning Kennedy this season. And lastly... god, I'd do anything to be a power bottom for Jeffrey Boywer-Chapman.

Yeah I adore Green Light, it kicked in and I was like ooh YAAASS and the song went on and I was like yeah this isn't a lip sync song :lol: If either had gone crazy when the chorus kicks in, because of the rest of the song it would have looked desperate or too much or at best unfitting, neither was really that great of a performance but some songs just aren't meant to be lip sync songs.

I'm still waiting to even vaguely get anything she does but I always find her dull as anything.

I'm sorry but you can't blame the song on that terrible lip sync. The chorus and build up is great and it has an explosive chorus 'I'M WAITING FOR IT THE GREEN LIGHT I WANT IT!'. Aja would have nailed it, it needed jumping around and fire! They both acted like it was a Lactrice Natural Woman moment...

 

 

I agree with Rob I'm ALWAYS rooting for Chi Chi and I feel so bad for her. She has disappointed a fair bit, but I also feel like she's not getting fair credit when she's doing it right. Last week there's no way she should have been bottom 3 and this week her runway (and Aja's) was the best of the week. That being said I do think the tops/bottoms/safes were correct this week because they were so off last week.

Even though I lived for Kennedy's performance she's so unlikeable to me. Always has this resting bitch face and you can say you don't all you want but that attitude... gurl. The way she eliminated Milk just because she expressed her disappointment that Thorgy went home. Now THAT's a bitch move. A revenge elimination? Are we in kindergarten? Sadly it won't be acknowledged by anyone. I'm sorry but Chi Chi should've gone home as much as I dislike Milk. Doesn't matter though as next week Chi Chi is likely to go since it's Snatch Game lol

 

Ben slaying *.* Doesn't even matter she lost the 2 lip syncs. I die with her characters every single week. Incredible. Really shining like a true ALL STAR.

 

Trixie's entrance in the Bitchelor was IKONEC. "I like my men like I like my coffee... incapable of loving me back" is probably the funniest thing I heard all year. I laughed so hard I had to pause the video. Too bad Milk completely buldozed through her with that unnecessarily OTT awkward character.

 

I thought Bebe was pretty funny overall. She really took what she can relate to and made it work for her. I appreciate that. Although she will need to step that pussy up if she wants to at least be in contention for the crown. Because so far it's not looking good.

 

All in all what an incredible episode. I loved this format. It's not just a couple of minutes worth of scenes like it happens in regular episodes.

 

P.S.: i've been saying this since seeing Unreal but can JBC sit on my face plz

i think that green light was a TERRIBLE lipsync choice and it is purely on the song, it doesn't lend itself to amazing moments - as a song even the chorus is much flatter than it should be (it's not as euphoric or all-encompassing as everyone makes out, it actually leaves me a bit cold and with something to be desired) so it didn't allow for that explosive moment that the lipsync desperately needed.

 

kennedy was so funny in the challenge this week and so was ben! i think the correct top 2. when ben went about how she'd already eaten that banana part before - i cackled.

 

SO glad milk is gone and unlike pav i agree with the choice - milk totally sabotaged another competitor this week with her poor choices and she brought a negative and delusional energy to the process which i would want rid of too. it's not just about your performance, it's about your professionalism, and milk has NONE.

ps. i can't handle JBC being a guest judge for a third time if it ever happens because he is one of THE finest men on the planet jesus!

that's true but at least Milk provided some kind of entertainment and I'm also heavily basing this on overall performance where Milk just outweighs Chi Chi. i wanted to see a bit more from her than Chi Chi

i think the reason i'm not dying to see milk is i get to see a lot of her outside the show in her element - she's a visual artist so a picture is enough whereas u really need to see chi chi in action and i feel like i haven't seen her personality and her humour enough since so even when she doesn't succeed she's still a great watch for me
