New storyline teaser released

for an ambulance crash which will involve Linda and Johnny with Johnny being critically injured. Whilst filming, an accident on set caused an ambulance to overturn which scriptwriters have allegedly now kept in and the story may be rewritten. It has been reported that the ambulance was only supposed to 'spin round'. But we will have to wait until the scenes air to uncover what actually plays out.

I agree Shona is so much better than the storylines she's been given recently, she's still one of my favourite actresses in soap. For me, probably considering I've only watched from early-mid 2000s, Whitney is one of the most iconic characters as she had several hard-hitting storylines when she was younger. I definitely think she's worth keeping around as Shona can be one of the best actresses on the show when she's given the chance and Whitney is definitely a redeemable character, but I think she could do with Tiffany to come back and give her storylines away from the Carters.

 

It's unfortunate for her that there doesn't seem to really be anyone in her age range apart from Lauren and Steven so she can't naturally connect to other sections of the Square. She seems a bit to old to hang around with the likes of Ben/Abi/Jay. I'm not actually sure how old Whitney is, maybe she's just been portrayed as much older to make the Mick story believable. It would've been interesting to pair her with someone like Keanu but I thought he was early-mid 20s whereas it seems he's only 18! :heehee:

Just because he's Danny Dyer he's getting away with being an awful character I feel, and he was just a celebrity stunt casting. I don't even get it though, he's not THAT big a name? Like yeah people know who he is but like for example when they hired Shirley people knew who she was from Bad Girls (first example I thought of), he's hardly Barbara Windsor level.

 

Shona I think it is her as an actress which I won't dispute, because for example the grooming storyline was brilliant and one of the best of all time, largely becasue of her. It's a shame someone of her level is being reduced to an awful plot point for Danny Dyer that makes her character so intolerable.

 

Whitney/Keanu is a good idea! The whole Woody pairing will go to shit before long clearly, it's just to stir things up between her and Mick even more.

Mick is pretty intolerable right now but I'm *hoping* the new exec will steer his character in a different direction, he was alright until SOC came in.

And why has Whitney chosen to get married when her brother is on his honeymoon? Was there literally no wiggle room? She can't even get officially divorced until November and I can't see what the rush is other than to make Mick jealous.

A number of cast members were posting on Snapchat/Instagram last night from a leaving party that was supposedly happening for one of them. Spotted were Jacqueline Jossa, Aaron Sidwell, Harry Reid, Tilly Keeper, Jasmine Armfield, Shaheen Jafargholi and Zack Morris... It could be any one of these or another cast member but it would seem that we should be expecting a departure at some point soon.

Who are thoe characters?

I have a gut feeling it will be Tilly Keeper which is a shame since I've just started to like her.

I feel like I read somewhere that Jacqueline was due another break so maybe it was just for that if true?

Surely Steven's time will be up given he's lying about having 3 months to live? :lol: If not him Louise would most likely I feel, maybe Lisa gets better and she goes back to live with her to make sure she's ok.

Danny Dyer is a huge name?

He's not big enough for them to give him such special treatement and borderline base the show around him though :lol:

Also Mick, as a character, doesn't do anything for the show anymore. People loved him when he started but the character is now boring and weak and the show would lose nothing were he to leave.
