What does it say about tonight's episode when Abi wasn't even in it and she's still all we're talking about?

You're always like 2 years behind everyone else when it comes to EE, you never seem to know what's going on, so forgive us if we ignore your inane comments on any related subject

How can we feel sorry for them? Lmao? the acting is making Danny Dyer look like an oscar winner

This Ted and Joyce shit is the worst thing about the show right now
I need a gif of Tracey rolling her eyes during the mayor's speech!

But on the characters, I STANNED AND HATED them first before they took off on BJ

I hateeeed Jack from day1.

Hopefully that's it for Ted and Joyce but I very much doubt it  I just can't care about their "storyline" and it doesn't help at all when neither can act.
They can move back to Walford Towers seeing as it is now staying and them moving seemed pointless. Karen and the Taylors can stay though.

Pretty sure everything the mayor said was a lie. Wasn't that the point of that scene with Fi out back?

No idea what is going on with that story anymore

I think everyone hated Jack from day 1. He's never been likeable. I remember Abi being hated here but I always liked her. And people only started stanning her because the character became hilarious around 2014.

I'll have to rewatch bits of that ep as I was actually falling asleep-I was tired from a long week at work. And the storylines weren't exactly gripping. I'm not that arsed about Kush and I'm definitely not arsed about the Murrays.

They need to stop axing popular characters for shock announcements and just work on making us care for the characters who are there. They certainly can't rely on memories of Sam Strike to get us to care for this Johnny.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the way they've handled Johnny since the "comeback" has been atrocious. What's the point of bringing back a character and giving them nothing to do except a dissertation and a stupid mini storyline with Derek earlier this year  I mean Ted Reilly most certainly isn't the strongest actor they have (to say the least) but they could've at least attempted to give him something more substantial. Even now he's been shot, the focus seems more on Mick and Linda than it does on Johnny's recovery :drama:

It's a shame because I think there's so much they actually COULD do with him, as a young gay man in London. Not like Ben's getting those storylines instead either.

Johnny should be a decent character. He was in his initial stint. But you can just tell that DTC hastily recasted him as he was worried for the Carters (Nancy leaving just before he handed over the reigns) and SOC was left with an actor who can barely make standing in the background look convincing. Johnny became a joke before he could be given anything decent to do. And then they went and axed Lee as well (who only really got a story for his exit but the actor proved himself there).

Seeing people like Ronnie, Roxy and Abi get axed before Johnny is a joke. Hell, even shelf life characters like Babe and Claudette going earlier seems a joke. The best thing for the character would be for him to be written out and then return later with either Sam Strike or recasted once more with someone who they can actually risk giving big storylines to. Ted Reilly should clearly be looking to work in another industry.
