Wait they’re wanting to buy a pub (and one in London for that matter) for £60,000??

Well yeah but it's that or they get kicked out for nothing

Ofc though this is the Carters and they'll find 60k under Lady Di's dog bed.

I thought they paid substantially more than 300k for it and it never really made sense that they could have afforded it.

I don't think Weyland are buying it for £60k, I think it was just lower than what Mick and Linda paid. They never said 60k I don't think

In the episode last night they specirically saod £60

Hmm maybe you were right and it was like 500k cash private sale somehow

I think they have to raise £60k for repairs to the pub or lose their tenancy. I don't think anyone is buying or selling The Vic for that amount.

Yeah the £60k was for what they had to pay, Fi gave them a contract thing that must have had a different higher amount she haggled for to try and tempt them to sell without them losing absolutely everything but they didn't say or show that amount.

Like I said though, moot storyline twist as the untouchable Carters will find £60k under Lady Di's dog bed or win the lottery and pay it all off or sth

They already sold the freehold to Weyland & Co months ago lmao that's why Fi is in there she's like the consultant to get them up to speed again
I find the storyline very frustrating as someone who works on the legal side of dilapidations! They would have so many remedies available to them in this situation :')
I’m legit more bothered about the future of Abi’s vet career than that of the Vic.

Sam Womack said she was devastated about leaving, she’s doing an interview with John Bishop on November 2nd.

"I was waiting to meet the new producer [sean O'Connor], I'd heard he wanted to take it back to kind of reality, less murders.

"So I met him the first time and he went, 'She's too dark, so we're gonna kill her.'

I'm sure the bus crash, car crash, fire, explosion, random shooting, murder and the ridiculously intelligence-free revenge plot have brought EastEnders into an era of reality and considerably less death.

"I don't like murderers, so we're going to kill Ronnie and turn Max into one".

The MOST incompetent producer in the soaps history.

At least previous poor ones like Bryan Kirkwood actually carried out what they planned to do without being a huge contradiction and completely void of the ability to tell actual stories. SOC is officially the worst thing to ever happen to the show and he's an absolue f***ing moron.

Loved Ian throwing the fact that Kathy was dead back in her face, people just don’t do that enough.

Love the optimistic Carters. We’ll raise 60k by dropping a spur of the moment Halloween night where we charge the usual regular punters and tenner each to go to where they normally do, without having the time to properly advertise the night to try and bring in a new crowd. We’ll steal everything from Elaine’s because it’s not like her pub will be doing anything for Halloween and we’ll do no food despit the extortionate entry fee because we have to sack the cook because we can’t afford her despite meals probably making up quite a bit of the regular profit. And keep it in the family except for barmaids that Mick wants to shag.

Johnny falling in the coffin was literally the worst.

It’s a shame Abi didn’t have the apple bobbing set up, I’m all ready for round 2.
