Ellie Goulding trying unsuccessfully to be a pure pop girl with her lead single, despite everything about the rest of her output *screaming* that that's not the kind of artist she is? Quelle surprise.
guess it means less-dancey

Depending on how fast Khalid and Ava Max rise over the next few days, this could end up being top 5. I’m shook.

Do you reckon it could reach a new peak on the H100?

Well it's a good job she didn't perform Flopx on the Late Show then:

I've actually grown to dislike this song quite a lot which is a shame as I did initially love it. It's just so basic and feels far too similar stylistically to On My Mind, which is objectively Ellie's worst single ever. She sounded woeful on that performance too :(

Flux is almost a step in the right direction of what I want from her but my favourite songs of hers are when she comes out with something we weren't expecting and she's done that kind of song much better, many times before

ouch can I un-see and un-listen that performance, my ears :/

agree that is even worst than On My Mind

in the US, it's doing well, but thanks to airplay mainly

What was wrong with the performance? Except for the awful backing vocals I thought it was quite good.

big fan but that very poor singing
Kinda feel this is underrated on here? Fair enough it ain't exactly Love Me Like You Do but it's nowhere near On My Mind level bad imo!

Quite agree. It's a decent enough pop tune. Though I find it bizarre that an artist would pick up and release a song that they can't actually sing
