October 24, 20186 yr Disappointed - Not as strong as a lot of her other stuff. Don’t really like the style. Edited October 24, 20186 yr by slowdown73
October 24, 20186 yr While I wasn't/am not a huge fan of "On My Mind", there's no denying that was an immediately strong comeback single. This one'll be a grower - I already found myself enjoying it on the second listen, for example.
October 24, 20186 yr I like it but it’s not very lead single worthy. It’s more of a summer sounding single too. I tend to prefer darker Ellie more though (songs like My Blood for example).
October 25, 20186 yr I kinda like it but hope there's better this era easily better than the last lead but not a patch on old tracks like Figure 8 or Lights
October 25, 20186 yr I actually really quite like this on first couple of listens 👀 her best since "Love Me Like You Do" (not that I listened to the last album, "On My Mind" was too atrocious, but best single at least)
October 25, 20186 yr I see her as being a slightly bigger Pixie Lott now #psychicbeaver Pixie Lott? Lol no. Shes got way more international markets. If all goes wrong she’ll do a ballad for a movie. Maybe a cover. :kink:
October 26, 20186 yr Lights, Halcyon and Delirium are all certified platinum in the US now :o Amazing!!!! Is that 1M copies each?
October 26, 20186 yr It is pretty generic but a huge bop, definitely her best since Haylcon! <3 I know Delierium’s performance was underwhelming but you literally need to sell like 700 copies a day to get in the iTunes top 10 and she’s not even top 40, Cher Lloyd beat her on iTunes  (obviously she’ll be miles ahead officially :kink:)
October 26, 20186 yr but that just shows that pop fans are not very loyal and that the market is fierce, you go away for 5 minutes and everybody forgets about you rock/indie/adult music fans are more loyal
October 26, 20186 yr This is so much better than I was expecting. There's an actual chorus, actual melody and actual singing. Surprised more people aren't liking it.

I'm firming in 'loving it' territory. I've had it in my head pretty much since the first play. I can definitely see it being a sizeable hit, I'm not too worried about its iTunes performance so far because Ellie doesn't strike me as the kind of artist with a fiercely loyal fanbase. Once its Radio 1 playlisting kicks in next week, it should pick up. She should follow Zara's lead by dropping the video mid-week too.

Yeah I do agree, but tbf 'On My Mind' debuted top 10 as well, and that was when OA/OS was only just starting so lots of artists were still struggling with it obv. Hoping this can do well anyway, SUCH a bop *.* Swale's part is actually my fave ngl Edited October 26, 20186 yr by Hallo'Riheen
October 26, 20186 yr Although it *is* worth noting that the 'Hot Songs' is gone from iTunes. That played a huge part in a songs first day.
October 26, 20186 yr Amazing!!!! Is that 1M copies each? Including streams and sales! Think Lights is at 400k, Halcyon 500k and Delirium 200k pure sales. Edited October 26, 20186 yr by NellyEverySundae
