July 14, 20178 yr The top 3 is pretty strong atm - 'Unforgettable' is one of my songs of the year and I'm thrilled to see it continuing to have great success (and still climbing on the sales chart), 'Wild Thoughts' has now grown on me a decent amount (although still not as good as 'I'm The One') and 'Despacito' is still sounding good - but the rest of the top 10 is pretty tragic bar Liam Payne and to some extent Rita Ora :( I'm glad Calvin is getting a big hit from this era but I can't get into 'Feels' at allll. Then 'Mama', 'Came Here For Love' and 'Pretty Girl' are just generic bleh ('Your Song' kind of is too but it's grown on me a little) and 'Power' is a total mess. Hope some better songs can knock a few of these out soon. I'd love to see Camila making it in there for example ;o Need to check out more of Jay-Z's new album, I heard 'Bam' with Damian Marley on R1 the other day and it sounded great! Oh that other French Montana song they played as the chart breaker sounded pretty fab too *.* Poor French once again barely even on his own song though :lol:
July 14, 20178 yr My comments on this week's top 40: firstly, YASSS at Jax Jones making the top 40 this week :cheer: Only a matter of time before 'Instruction' is a big top 20 hit, absolutely love it. that Post Malone song seems to be growing slightly on another listen, though it isn't near the best of the recent rap hits we've had. the Kesha single isn't really the type of music I listen to, I appreciate it for what it is though (and she definitely needed a song like this considering what's happened) and at least it'll shut up anyone who thinks she can't sing. It could really do without the DOG note though. BOO at the new Zedd single outpeaking 'Clarity' already (but seriously, and yes I do have to bring this up every time we get a Zedd song chart, WHY DID CLARITY ONLY PEAK AT #27????) Ok, rant over. :) Well at least 'Get Low' is better than 'Stay', I'll give you that. Lmao and Omg at 'Slide' climbing 12 places *__* I'm obviously not complaining, Calvin deserves any random chart boost he gets. Good to see 'Know No Better' make the top 20 and outpeak 'Run Up' in the process. It certainly feels bigger so good to see that reflected in the charts already (I'm sure it'll climb some more too). Great to see 'Came Here For Love' at #6. Future top 5 hit hopefully! :cheer: Calvin continuing to climb with 'Feels' is very welcome too. The entire top six is very good too (trust Liam Payne to ruin it at #7).
