I never said I wanted to see karakoke singers? It is possible to make a song different to the original version without singing it note for note. You clearly haven't been watching this series so I'll just give you a couple of examples:

I see where you’re coming from Theo. An original is great but it is nice to see covers of songs as even established artists sing covers and aren’t all het up on their originals!

I don't see Grace winning either, she's going to have the opposite of a "journey" from what I can see because once she gets to the live shows, she has to perform covers and I think it'll totally eliminate her niche and what makes her supposedly exciting. I haven't even thought the songs since the auditions were particularly good and I can't see her lasting the whole way.

 

Ever since their audition I've thought the two Irish lads would win, now I know Simon has the groups I'm even more confident. Marketing 'Ed Sheeran as a group' would be very easy and on trend.

Grace struggled a lot with the first bit of bootcamp having to do someone else's song. I come across as I absolutely hate her or something but I don't, I just have other preferences in her category :lol: I'd love Holly to win but it'd be Louisa/Ella all over again with Syco having no idea really where to market her among current acts.

 

Thinking back about Alisah, can we just remind ourselves of this? It's pretty recycled with 4I doing it the following year as well.

 

Omg yes Sean that's what annoyed me about Alisa's sing-off bit, legit she just did the exact same as 4I did but the judges act like every time she sings it's Whitney back from the grave :lol; She has a powerful voice but that's it, and that isn't all the show is about. it's about finding someone who could be a successful popstar, I know that the ratings kind of stop that happening but it is stil called The X Factor, it isn't just for her belting Whitney or Mariah every week.

Nah there's no themes now so she can just sing her originals te whole way and I think that rule change is pretty much tailored for her :lol; Now I think about it perhaps that will be what ends up putting the public off, like as much I love her I feel like it's being SO tailored for her in pretty much every way and I cn already imagine her bearing the brunt of the Facebook wine mum anger in the comments section.

 

Also deleting all the tedious arguments bc we don't need that, no more of it thanks.

I just get an Ella feel that the wheels are gonna fall off for her if she can't mix it up well enough, too many originals and I think she runs the risk of not making a lasting impression, unless all of her songs are fab (and let's be real, none of them have come close to Roots yet).

The Cutkelvins are actually pretty good, probably my favourite band.

The last girl band were pretty awful when compared to the previous ones, guessing the made up girl band is yet to come, he had to cut some girl bands out, as there is too many of them.
