My Chemical Romance extend lead

Source: Music Week

My Chemical Romance are set to strengthen their position at the top of the singles chart this weekend, with Welcome To The Black Parade (Reprise) enjoying a significant increase in sales despite the singles market slumping 12% week-on-week.

Retail reports also suggest Razorlight, Bob Sinclar and Scissor Sisters will remain in the top five, with Meat Loaf feat. Marion Raven’s It’s All Coming Back To Me Now (Mercury) poised to climb from outside the Top 40 to the number five spot. Also climbing into the Top Ten are James Morrison (Polydor) and the Ordinary Boys (B-Unique/Polydor), with Pet Shop Boys’ Numb (Parlophone) being the highest bona fide new entry just outside the chart’s upper tier.

Amy Winehouse (Island) and Beyonce (Columbia) are both set to enter within the top 20 based solely on downloads, indicating a high chart placing when physically released next Monday. Other likely new entries come from The Rifles (Red Ink), Cassie (Bad Boy), Girls Aloud (Polydor), Rihanna (Mercury) and the Kooks (Virgin).

The album chart looks likely to remain largely unchanged, with James Morrison’s Undiscovered (Polydor) the sole significant climber. P Diddy’s Press Play (Bad Boy) is set to enter outside the Top Ten, as is Badly Drawn Boy’S Born In The UK (EMI) and Patrizio Buanne’s Forever Begins Tonight (UMTV).

I hope they come before I have to go....

Hmmm I'm not sure - I expect Ordinary Boys, Meatloaf and James Morrison to be all top 20 possibly top 10 but low sales could push them quite high - have to wait and see but fingers crossed for MCR again.

The Ordinary Boys hopefully high on Singles and fingers crossed for Roxette to get a Top 40 album!

I'm hoping for James Morrison to take the #1 spot, otherwise MCR will stay for another week.
