I have just discovered that BloodPop® is the same person as Blood Diamonds from classique BJSC entry 'Phone Sex' :o I'm not sure how it totally passed me by at the time that 'Sorry' was produced by him! (Then again I also didn't know it was co-produced by Skrillex either)

Friends isn't doing amazing in the US either. He's #1 but sales are low over there too yet he's only pushed #2 down to 70% when I expected him to push it down much further.

He's crushing the competition in the US, it's odd that the response here is more muted.

It seems like every time an artist releases a reverb heavy synth pop track (like Style, Cheyenne etc), it gets a lot of positive critical reception but the public just don't take to it as strongly as expected.

Crushing? 0.6918 over the number 2 isn't really crushing,crushing would be 0.10 -0.20 and he isn't number 1 in Ireland, Australia or New Zealand either, though in most of mainland Europe it seems to have had an instant impact.

 

Maybe we are seeing a change in musical taste and Bieber's followers are growing up and the new music virgins have there own style of music.
