August 19, 20177 yr Author Legitimately only seen one of these so I guess Johhny Depp is my winner by default. He was great though and I'm glad that we got another musical acting nominee as they don't happen very often. In a way, I'm a bit gutted that he stole a lot of the limelight though because Helena Bonham Carter was just as deserving. In terms of snubs, I thought James McAvoy was pretty brilliant in Atonement (I preferred him to Saoirse Ronan in this to be honest!). It's such a shame he STILL doesn't have an Oscar nomination to his name..
August 21, 20177 yr There was only one really deserving of that award that year, and that was Daniel Day-Lewis. End of discussion. All kidding aside, I do think he was by far the strongest that year and gave a mind blowing performance! He really was terrifying!
August 21, 20177 yr Author Not seen ANY of these :lol: oops. The further we go back, the less males and more females I've seen. I just stan more for the ladies so go back and watch their films :heehee:
