Not sure about iTunes but it’s definitely been on Spotify for a long time!

A pity that it has fallen so drastically across all charts but to be expected. It has had zero promo this week lol :cry:

I've always wondered what the total tally for Spiceworld would be now if it was still in print (CD).

 

The album would have definitely seen a surge in sales during the Olympics, musical, all of the 20th anniversaries in 2016, reunion rumours and eventually the 2019 tour, plus casual sales.

 

This is the 2nd biggest selling girl group album in the UK behind 'Spice' - it has 4 big hits on it and it's only available to stream or download. Such a bad decision on the labels part.

Definitely find it strange that the label has little to no focus when it comes to Spiceworld. :( You can still find the Spice CD & Vinyl in HMV, yet the Spiceworld CD is never stocked & of course the vinyl hasn't ever been reissued. Crazy!

 

That said, there are currently 6 copies available on Amazon that are seemingly sold and dispatched by Amazon, implying that it's new stock... hmm!

They might want people to go for the GH instead, so keeping it limited might achieve that in some way.

I saw hundreds of copies of Spiceworld during the Olympics week in a CD shop called ‘That’s Entertainment’. I know there’s a few in the north of England. Would they count as sales? I know the shop also accepted 2nd hand cds and similar to charity shops also accepted old cd singles, albums etc

They looked brand new but I guess they'd be pre owned.

They “refurbished” some of their second hand CDs (new cases & sometimes sealed them) but they were definitely second hand. I remember buying a CD that outwardly gave the impression of seeming pristine, but when I opened the booklet it was creased and torn inside!

 

I used to like that shop! Don’t think it’s around anymore? I filled some gaps in my collections via there! I’d aim for versions that still had the original hype stickers on. I actually purchased some old Spice related albums, purely for the stickers :ph34r: :lol: (I always peeled them off in my youth, lol).

 

The definitely didn’t count as sales anyway!
