Need all of this to happen  7" vinyl collection for the singles would be amazing! Let me throw more of my money at you, Spice Girls -_-

Oh that's strange, I'm not sure why they wouldn't be showing up for you! :o These are the images at the top of each section:

Sadly I don't think any of their studio albums will reach those targets any time soon. To the point we might not see it happen until the 2040s, lol, unless a reunion gives their music a very impactful

I've decided from now on I'm going to use the Scottish, independent and physicals chart only for my official Melanie C discography, just look at this chart run

Ps Jay didn't you have some physical chart positions for some of the other singles on the UK chart? I'm sure I remember seeing I want candy would have been #7 without downloads and Geri's Desire would have been top 20, I want to say Carolyna would have been top 20 too?? Also how come we don't have independent chart positions for BI and TT??

I changed the display modes and now they now appear! Might have had some issues with cookies or whatever... ANYWAY crisis averted :cheer:

Just seen the sale updates lol, Thanks Jay. Viva Forever and Goodbye deserve to be millionaires. And does this mean the real successful solo spice is Geri? :kink:

Why would Geri be the most successful Spice, like at any of the day of the week?

Guess who doesn't need the collab at all? :kink:

I'll re-word that... "Guess who couldn't get a collab at all?" Ooh your gif answered it :P

I’m guessing that is based on their singles runs, i.e. Schizophonic singles being more consistent than Northern Star’s. Scream If You Wanna Faster outsold Reason, had a huge hit single, and two further singles that outsold anything Melanie released after Northern Star album. Also the fact that Geri has more #1 singles.

Melanie C has Northern Star (album sales) & two Gold #1s on her side, plus perseverance to release far more than Geri.

(Comments from a UK charts perspective). It’s clear they’re the top two solo Spice Girls commercially, and both have different achievements!

I mean we aren't discussing who's the most talented, are we?

Geri is so talented that she ends up writing and recording several albums only to shelve them because she's afraid she'll overshadow the Melanies and Emmarrr

Plus, the other girls needed collabs to open the era and break free, Geri didn't and did all that pure solo, she even made the cover the huge hit lol, not to mention she's the weakest singer/performer among them too lol.

Emma the only one of them to release 4 albums with an actual label, I think we know she is solo Spice queen.

- Melanie has been far more successful internationally than Geri

- In the UK, Melanie has sold much more albums

- Melanie has sold hundreds of thousands of tickets

I think we have a winner! :cheer:

Guys guys guys stop seriously, it's not a competition between the girls!

Melanie C's first album has sold more in the UK than ALL of Geri Halliwell's albums to date. The same for international success.

Plus, Mel C has had other international hit singles and albums throughout her career. Geri didnt.

End of discussion.

With the help of Bryan Adams and Left Eye. Three of them, Melanie, Emma and Geri all did have the hits here in Asia. Never Be The Same Again, What Took You So Long and It's Raining Men but then again TLC was very popular in Asia as well. It's Raining Men was a soundtrack of Bridget Jones which was a hit globally, people at that time probably didn't buy the song or the album but they surely knew It's Raining Men's Geri version. Geri was painted as somewhat Brit Madonna and there were a lot of controversies among the music gurus over here back then too lol. The whole point was just that she did it on her own in her own ways and very successful, didn't mean to take anything away from Melanie. Geri is brilliant for me but she's selfish and lacks grit.

Editing Victoria Beckham's posts now. Music Week stated at the time that A Mind of Its Own sold below 24,000 in its first week. http://scans.chartarchive.org/UK/2002/UK%2...02002.02.23.pdf

I'm not sure where the 27,000 figure came from that has been generally accepted as being the first week figure for many years - I can't find a source for it! So I'll take <24,000 as being true.
