    Sadly I don't think any of their studio albums will reach those targets any time soon. To the point we might not see it happen until the 2040s, lol, unless a reunion gives their music a very impactful

I wish the OCC site had the full chart runs in their database for all these different charts, because it is such a task to go through years of weekly charts.

There are indeed a few positions missing from the Greatest Hits runs, this is what I've got:

I haven't checked beyond 27th March 2020 for Physicals and Sales - I would be kind of surprised if it had made an appearance in either chart since then though.

I've checked the download chart up to 22nd January 2021 (a portion of its Top 200 run in this chart can be viewed here).

~~~~~~~~~~
Also, Spiceworld made appearances on 20th March 2020 in these charts:
Physical Chart
#38 - Spiceworld
Sales Chart
#42 - Spiceworld [New Entry] (Sales chart was introduced on 1st March 2015, so that's why it's a new entry. It's also why Greatest Hits didn't enter until 2018)
Note that Spiceworld vinyl entered at #7 on 20th March, not 13th March. Same goes for Greatest Hits at #20.
:cheeseblock: The amount of effort that was put in to make this happen lol.
Just for my own reference, but I posted Spice Girls chart runs on 25th October 2019: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=6363307
Thanks for the correction. I will look after 20/3
Amazing work. Thank you Jay!!! :wub:
Great work Jay.
Apparently some channel 5 show covered Top selling hits of 1996 and Spice Girls were 2, 4 and 5 and the OCC has been posting full articles with sales the day after? Worth keeping an eye on the site today?
The OCC have already posted the article, if just gives sales to the end of 1996 so not massively interesting.
What is interesting though is they give 1.16m for Wannabe at the end of 1996, it might be close to doubling that by the end of this year. Just shows how much streaming is inflating sales these days.
Spice entered inside physical album chart:
Oh that’s interesting! It was #31 in the vinyl chart in the same week. Can’t remember what caused that to happen?
Greatest Hits was in the midweeks - #143 on Tuesday and #155 on Thursday. Unfortunately I’ve not got today’s Top 200 yet, but hopefully it held on!
Other chart news:
Wannabe is #34 in the singles download chart
Greatest Hits is #55 in the albums download chart
I'm sure it stayed top 200 be nice to get a sales update when we get hold of the chart.
It did :cheer:
Greatest Hits
New total: 678,730 sales
It's #163 with 840 sales. That is up from 688 sales in the previous week.
This week's sales breakdown:
685 Streaming
67 Downloads
50 CDs
38 Vinyl
Unfortunately I don't know Wannabe's sales this week, but here's some rough estimates...
Downloads: Sigala/Rita Ora - You for Me is at #33 in the download chart (a position higher than Wannabe) and sold 498 downloads. I don't know how much #35 sold. BTS - Butter at #36 sold 476 downloads. So Wannabe sold between that number of downloads. It had already sold 440 downloads on Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon in time for the Tuesday midweeks, so it didn't add many sales on Tues/Wed/Thurs. Let's just assume 490!
Streaming: In the Tuesday midweeks it had sold 2,261 streaming units. That mostly consisted of Fri/Sat/Sun streaming from Spotify and Apple, with Monday data missing from those streaming platforms. It's difficult to estimate what it could have added to that figure for the rest of the week... but I'm guessing roughly 4k.
Overall: The #200 in the "old rules" singles chart sold 5,351; Wannabe didn't make that chart so evidently it sold less than that. I'm estimating 4.5k (streaming/downloads combined). It usually does a little less than 3k per week, so it's a fairly nice boost... that would be approximately a 50% increase.
