Sadly I don't think any of their studio albums will reach those targets any time soon. To the point we might not see it happen until the 2040s, lol, unless a reunion gives their music a very impactful

Jack has also revealed 925,000 for Goodbye & 494,000 for Stop :cheer: He also shared 862,000 for Mama and Who Do You Think You Are, but this is a combined figure of the 'Mama/Who Do You Think You Are' release alongside Mama individually.

Jack works for Universal their record label he us very reliable.

Really happy for Spice up your life, it feels like a million seller already.

Are these the right terms -

Pure sales - million seller

Sales (physical and downloads and streams combined) - millionaire

YAY thank you!!

Gassed that Goodbye is also so close to 1million units and Stop is FINALLY getting vindicated after all these years. :cheer:

Just wish Holler would pick up too... Such a shame as it is a BOP! Emma has been really vocal about Holler this time, and also some other Forever tracks such as Oxygen as she has mentioned it a few times now.

HERE'S HOPING They will throw more Forever tracks in there!!

Yep! I'm just so use to writing "seller" that I put it as that in the topic description haha.

The most up to date figures we now have for the singles:

16/11/18 - 1,620,850 - Wannabe

06/11/18 - 1,216,000 - 2 Become 1

16/11/18 - 1,020,000 - Say You'll Be There

12/04/19 - 1,000,157 - Spice Up Your Life

12/04/19 - 925,000 - Goodbye

12/04/19 - 862,000 - Mama/Who Do You Think You Are *

16/11/18 - 729,000 - Viva Forever

16/11/18 - 707,000 - Too Much

12/04/19 - 494,000 - Stop

06/11/18 - 280,000 - Holler/Let Love Lead The Way

16/11/18 - 55,000 - Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)

* (This a combination of the sales figure for Mama/Who Do You Think You Are as a Double A Side, which only Who Do You Think You Are sales & streams contributes to, and the separate Mama sales & streams)

At the current rate that Stop is selling, it would make it to 600,000 by December 2020. Hopefully it'll be earlier than that if their streams experience a nice boost during the tour. Hopefully we'll definitely be celebrating it becoming Platinum sometime in 2020 at least!

I assume Who Do You Think You Are / Mama double-A side is next to pass the million mark as Goodbye is such a poor streamer, despite being quite far ahead of it.

It's a bit hard to tell with these two singles!

There were two conflicting figures provided for Goodbye in November 2018 from two different sources - one said 910,000 and the other was 918,000. I'm not sure which is more likely, it selling 7,000 in the past 21 weeks (333 sales per week on average) or 15,000 (714 sales per week). If it was the former then it would pass 1 million by August 2023, if it was the latter then it would be April 2021.

Then with Mama & Who Do You Think You Are, we don't have new figures for them individually to work out what they're each selling on average (i.e. what Who Do You Think You Are is selling to contribute to the Mama/Who Do You Think You Are entry). We only know a combined update with Mama sales/streams, which overall is 31,000 in the past 21 weeks. That would be on course for 1 million by January 2021, but I don't know whether that would be counted? If it was purely just about WDYTYA's contribution, then I suppose it could take around twice as long to pass a million in its own right.

It'll be interesting to see one day whether Mama reaches 200,000 by itself and gets a silver certification in its own right!

I mean, Who Do You Think You Are gets regularly put on playlists so it gets boosts every now and then. Depending on where Mama counts that at least gets a healthy boost once a year.

Goodbye is surprisingly invisible for 900k+ selling single on streaming, but I assume that's down to it being the four of them rather than five. I think Viva Forever is more memorable as a post-Geri single, despite her being on it...

It is a bit of a shame how it's one of the more forgotten ones, it really shouldn't be in a position of getting considerably less streams than Holler on Spotify, but that's the situation! I suppose it being the last track on Forever & the last track on Greatest Hits really doesn't help its visibility. Funny to think for a considerably long time that Goodbye was on a higher sales total than Spice Up Your Life (and in terms of pure sales I guess it might still be?).

Goodbye is one of my faves.

We should host a streaming party 🥳

Greatest Hits at #184 this week! 791 sales, lifting its total to 580,966. 59th week in the Top 200.

So glad their singles have had a boost with streaming. Pleased with the increases for SUYL, Stop and WDYTYA/Mama

I wish the RIAA would update the SG totals. It’s been the same since 1998

I would assume they would be updated around the tour when renewed attention will be given to the group and their music. At least, we live in hope.

It was a nice surprise they updated the videos, so they might be making efforts to be more updated overall.

whats the latest updated list of acts with the most? I only find lists with Spice Girls as two million sellers.
4 million sellers

That ties them with Little Mix again for most millionaires from a girl band right? (Both have 4?)

Spice Girls are the only girl group to have 2 million sellers

But yes SG and LM are tied with 4 millionaires each
