whats the latest updated list of acts with the most? I only find lists with Spice Girls as two million sellers.

I’m guessing from the post above that million sellers are only regarded as those that have 1 million sales to their name, ones with streaming data are called ‘millionaires’... so technically Spice Girls remain the only girl band with more than one million seller.

    Sadly I don't think any of their studio albums will reach those targets any time soon. To the point we might not see it happen until the 2040s, lol, unless a reunion gives their music a very impactful

Greatest Hits was midweek #200 on Monday, today it's midweek #195. It should have a good chance of holding onto the Top 200 for Friday; there's still a lot of Record Store Day titles ahead of it which won't sell too much over the rest of the week.

A somewhat interesting fact... if Greatest Hits is in the Top 200 at the same time as Emma Bunton's album, it'll mark the first time since 22nd September 2002 that a Spice Girls album & solo album appear in the charts together! That was when Northern Star was #89 and Forever was #120.

Must have got some bargain bin treatment! It had a week on the chart in 2003 too.

I appreciate all the work on here with updates on sales just for fun I put the list together. I pray that Wannabe goes 3x Platinum and we get some more millionaires :)

:plat: Say You'll Be There (1,020,000)

I wonder if Stop could ever make it to Platinum :lol:
Stop could, but it would take a while. Holler, however........................ <_<

Last week marked Greatest Hits' 60th week in the UK Top 200! It climbed 1 place to #183.
It climbed 1 place but I bet its sales were up 100 to 200 copies given how strong the album chart was last week due to RSD.

Fell out of the Top 200 again this week :cry:

Total sales should be around 582,500 now

  • 2 weeks later...
It will probably pick up again in a couple of weeks as the tour starts!

Sadly My Happy Place didn't re-enter the chart today, despite being in the midweeks :cry: It's frustrating, streaming is damaging it. That's two weeks in a row that it probably wasn't too far outside of the Top 200.

Despite its run of 11-121-out in the official chart, it has achieved these chart runs in the Physical chart & Sales chart:

6-21-59-46... [Physical Chart]

6-24-65-48... [sales Chart]

(It went 9-out in the Download Top 100 chart, so downloads are hindering it too)

~~~
In better news, Spice Girls - Greatest Hits has re-entered the Top 200 at #177, selling 827 copies (up 9.2%). That means it sold 757 copies the week before, when 787 was needed to be #200. To date sales: 584,156!
I really hope it properly gets going in the next few weeks and passes 600,000 during the tour, would be great if they go double platinum while they're active.
Greatest Hits also re-enters the Download chart at #85
Only 15 884 copies until it gets to 600k! :cheer:
Thanks Jay! Here's hoping they cross that milestone in June indeed :wub: I think the tour starting will most probably boost the album chances of getting pretty close to double platinum 🙏🏼
Well the vinyl sales *should* boost it on the chart on the 6th June, so that might be the week it goes double plat. The Walkers advert I've heard premieres 2nd June too.
'My Happy Place' re-entered the UK Top 200 album chart at #162! This mean Emma has achieved the first solo Spice album to spend more than 2 weeks in the Top 200 since Melanie C's 'This Time' also managed 3 weeks (what a depressing stat, lol~).
She sold 846 copies to place at #162. 758 copies are physicals, 43 is downloads & also 45 streaming.
In 5 weeks she has sold a total of 9,913 copies in the UK. It's a pity that she didn't manage to cross over 10k this week, but she inevitably will have over the past 2 days.
Her break down of sales over the past few weeks:
It seems that My Happy Place sold 1 copy before official release
Week 1 - 6,674 sales - #11
Week 2 - 1,034 sales - #121
Week 3 - 665 sales - didn’t chart [#200 sold 787, Emma was 122 copies behind]
Week 4 - 693 sales - didn’t chart [#200 sold 746, Emma was 53 copies behind]
Week 5 - 846 sales - #162 [#200 sold 733, Emma was 113 copies ahead]
A very frustrating thing to point out: this week's #4 album only sold 6,187 copies. That is 487 copies less than what Emma sold at #11 last month. :( This week's #10 sold just 4,339.
Physical & Sales chart updates:
6-21-59-46-28... [Physical Chart]
6-24-65-48-29... [sales Chart]
Kind of crazy that the lack of streaming takes her from #29 in sales to #162 overall. 133 place difference!
