Posted August 28, 20177 yr It's the 5th installment of the Artist Forum Song Contest and the chosen theme is live covers. This only includes songs that were only, or at least are most known for being, performed live - so no live performances of 'Don't Cry For Me Argentina', for instance. The finale will be held in the Taylor Swift at a date yet to be confirmed, but all suggestions and discussion should take place in this thread.
August 29, 20177 yr Author Not the best category for Madonna, I don't think. I can't think of any examples that are both really well-known and well-liked. 'La vie en rose' was performed beautifully on the Rebel Heart Tour and that would be one of my main choices, but I don't know if it will compete well with what other AFs may put forward. rChnznAPE3A

August 30, 20177 yr Author I'd say no as 'I Feel Love' is just a small section of the performance. It's a shame we can't send songs that got a studio recording because 'Don't Cry for Me Argentina' from the S&S Tour would smash this out the park. :( There seems to be very few live-only covers that Madonna has done and most of them have been varying degrees of bad: 'Imagine', 'Nothing Compares 2 U'/'Purple Rain', 'Toxic', 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' etc. And to think people despise her 'American Pie' cover!
August 30, 20177 yr She doesn't really sing any other people's songs live . She has done some incredible samples tho. Can we use the Michael Jackson tribute in sticky and seeet round 2 ? She also sung rebel by David Bowie once on rebel heart tour. She also sang lady is a tramp on Saturday night live .
