Total loon mode here but I'm currently feeling really quite proud of her for doing this. It's like nothing else she's attempted before (maybe parts of American Life I guess?) and it totally works as a collection for me. There aren't many acts who could release something this different so far into their careers and I totally love that she hasn't played it safe at all.

Totally! In full agreement.

I'd say it's a blend of Music (musically) and American Life (lyrically/subject matter).

God Control is SOMETHING ELSE

It's the best song in YEARS

"It’s a weird kind of energy, a bizarre thing that happens to be

An abnormal fraternity, and I feel more than sympathy"

I’m enthused and excited and proud and giddy and amazed and so much more and it feels amazing. I haven’t felt this way about her in years, even the songs I don’t like are interesting, exciting not unmitigated turds like the last few albums. Some of the vocal processing makes her sound like a newly sentient AI, it doesn’t always work, but overall, despite being very disparate when listening individually it sounds like a body of work for the time since 2005.
I didn't enjoy this at all. Not a single song I would put on replay.

Same here. None of the new tracks managed to grab my attention. She sounds robotic, lifeless & uninspired more than ever.

My favorite track remains I Rise.

YES QWEEN! *.*

It just all feels like she actually gave a shit this time around and I am full of admiration for this album.

Oh no! :(

Not even Come Alive or Faz Gostoso? :(

I'm not familiar with your tastes Voodoo so wouldn't know what to expect - but Atonement I'd have sort of expected you to like it I think based upon some of your other musical preferences so I'm kinda surprised!

Opinions on the three super deluxe.

Funana would’ve fitted perfectly on here! It would’ve been a perfect track after Come Alive in my opinion. It’s better than some of the tracks on the Standard and Regular versions for me. Perfectly fits the vein of the album and would’ve slotted in beautifully. Unlikely it’ll be used on the tour or ever be performed live but I’m a fan.

Back That Up To The Beat is also pretty good. But I can see why it wasn’t on the main versions of the album. It’s nice enough

but I wouldn’t rush back especially just to listen to that.

Ciao Bella - Another lush like moment. Tranquil like and I instantly liked this.

Funana and Ciao Bella should’ve replaced Extreme Occident and Bitch I’m Loca. Sonically they’d fit perfectly in that segment of the album.

This album is so strong though. It’s like a more Latin infused Music album. I don’t hear much American Life in sound but lyrically some tracks esp Killers would’ve fitted into that album with a very different production.

This feels like Madonna again. Since Confessions its like she hasn’t been leading if that makes sense and a lot of her collaborations felt more for chart success than it did her being fans of those artists but in this album they actually work. I’m trying to get so many of my friends to give this a chance and not just refuse to listen because it’s Madonna. Regardless of chart position / sales I’m so happy she’s created another strong album.

It’s leagues ahead of her last three albums in my personal opinion. It feels much more connected to her and there’s songs on this album what I could only imagine Madonna singing it’s like she’s leading again in a way. No other female would be daring enough to release this.

God Control is highest of the new tracks? That's fab! I know it's the first new track but it's 6 minutes long and a couple of other tracks had more advantage, whether they be a collab or have Spotify playlist exposure (Crazy).
