I’ve not seen any yet.

I know Mondays usually when we do get them but I was also looking across twitter and other sites with there being a few releases yesterday.

I’m part of a group on Facebook what’s like a fan site to Madonna and there’s so many people who’ve bought multiple versions and a fair few of those were from the UK.

Streaming wise I think she’ll easily beat Bruce but sales wise he may have the advantage. I haven’t seen much promo for him the way I have Madonna though.

I accepted it wasn’t going to go to #1 but I hope it’s #2.

I’m thinking it’ll go

1. Bruce

2. Madonna

3/4 Lewis

But Lewis may well overtake them all next week.

Definitely her best and most consistent effort since Confessions. It felt like what a Madonna album in 2019 SHOULD be. It was engaging, surprising and while not perfect, it actually felt sincere. Plenty of tracks to take from it - God Control, Dark Ballet, Killers Who Are Partying and my personal favourite Faz Gostoso, plus the closing trio!!

Madonna is in the spotlight again with her 14th album Madame X, released today. In a climatic build, this best-selling female artist pre-released five songs, one per week, giving listeners a taste of her global collection. In Madame X, Madonna offers a blueprint for multigenerational, multicultural artistry that keeps her music and visual expression fresh and relevant.

Reviews of Madame X include bizarre, daring, political, bold. While some critics praise her album as the 2019 version of "Bohemian Rhapsody," another suggests it sounds like an aimless documentary. Still, even the naysayers agree that Madame X could become Madonna’s best selling album yet. German reporter Michale Pilz writes in Welt that not only is Madame X undoubtedly the most bizarre representation of her life’s work; it also may become her greatest.

Since the release of Madonna's her first self-titled album in 1983, there is no argument that she has shaped pop music of today with her push-the-envelope edginess both lyrically and visually. With 12 number one and 38 top ten hits, Madonna is also the highest-grossing female concert tour artist earning $408 million for her Sweet & Sticky tour that began in August 2008 to promote her eleventh studio album, Hard Candy. Years of experience in the industry, combined with the endless cultivation of her passion for music and dance, gives Madonna iconic status and collaborative authority that few other musicians have earned.

Madonna’s proactive collaboration with artists and producers from around the world, including young, fresh talent, gives Madame X significant relevance. It represents a multicultural, multigenerational strategy reaching across genre and audiences to stimulate global appeal. Pilz captured it best with, “Her one-world music of reggae, samba, hip-hop, fado, classical, Eurodance, Latin and Afropop sounds like her newly adopted rainbow family.”

Madame X is, at its core, a model strategy for diversity and inclusion with Madonna the executive sponsor driving it to fruition. Four of the five pre-released songs were collaborations with younger artists. "Medellín" features Columbian Maluma, recently crowned most-followed Latin male artist on social media thanks, in part, to Madonna showcasing his sensuality in her early release and their "Medellín" performance at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.

The full article is a great read!

I’m really enjoying the album . It’s quite intense to listen too from beginning to end.

Faz gostoso and I don’t search are my early faves.

Looking for mercy and extreme occident growing on me quickly .

Bitch I’m loca got flack in reviews but I love it .

What are we thinking of extreme occident? It’s creeping up to be one of my faves .

Medellin has been creeping up the lower ends of top 100 on iTunes . Maybe because of the advert.

I really, really like the album because I still discover new things and I love the diversity/layers on it. EC is fab and got better the more I played it (like some other tracks)!

Never thought I would enjoy MX as I do (already) now

Fascinating interview here! They are so at ease with each other which makes it such an endearing watch.

My copy was delivered on Friday and left with a neighbour who I’ve never actually seen. I’ve been round about 10 times over the weekend and no answer - so annoying!!!
