I’m listening to that right now, I think it’s lovely and definitely should be on the standard album

Gods control

I really wish the ‘its a weird kind of energy’ was repeated . That part is orgasmic .

The wording of the OCC article seems to be causing a bit of confusion:

Bruce's Western Stars - his 19th studio album - currently leads the way over Madonna's 14th collection Madame X by just shy of 16,000 combined sales on the latest Official Chart Update.

Is that 16k lead or he's leading the way on 16k? I assumed 16k lead because of how well Bruce was doing on pre-orders + Father's Day but maybe not? We'll see when Music Week updates at 6pm.

I think Madge might up end at no3 by end of the week. Be interesting to see what it’s sold though.
I can’t believe it’s already 16000 behind !!!

Music Week:

Bruce Springsteen’s new LP Western Stars leads the albums race with 36,511 units sold. Madonna’s Madame X (20,621 sales) and Bastille’s Doom Days (11,743 sales) begin the week in second and third respectively. Lewis Capaldi’s Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent (10,480 sales) is at No.4 while Joy Division’s reissued Unknown Pleasures rounds out the Top 5 with 6,773 sales.

Really pleased with those sales! Hopefully it can hit 30k.

For comparison, Rebel Heart was on 27,479 after 3 days of sales.

Really pleased with those sales! Hopefully it can hit 30k.

I thnk it'll be around 27k by the end of the week.

Kylie was at 33,7k at this stage this year and ended the whole week with just over 48k, meaning that Fri-Sun sales represent roughly 70% of the total sales and Mon-Thu accounting for the remaining 30%. The spread should be similar in Madonna's case or perhaps slightly more front-loaded.

She will be extremely front loaded .

I'm happy with those sales. And I assume #2 is pretty much confirmed?

I hope so but she's not quite got it on lock - Lewis is only down 300 copies down week-on-week and he sold 27,590 last week. Depends on how well Madonna's sales hold up this week.

She's done really well, I think! I was expecting about 23-24k for the first week in total and she's almost achieved that already. Should be safe for a #2 debut as well.
