February 14, 20187 yr I mean, of course you can have your own opinions but this is legit you in every thread
February 14, 20187 yr Cqmerqn is right. There's nothing at all similar between "Love Myself", "Starving", "Most Girls" and "Let Me Go". The former and latter are huge bops but in different styles, "Starving" is a weird hybrid of tropical midtempo yet is so dull and I don't even know what the boring-ass "Most Girls" is supposed to be. At least with Demi, Rita etc they stick to a sound throughout an album cycle, Hailee literally sounds like she's throwing out anything she records and hopes for it to catch on.
February 14, 20187 yr I agree that Hailee doesn't really have any particular sound yet and it does feel a bit like she's throwing everything at the wall and trying to see what sticks. It doesn't bother me though as long as she keeps bringing the bops (although right now I can't get into this as much as Most Girls and particularly Starving, which was one of the best songs of 2016).

Let Me Go is becoming a hit but I can't see it going Top 20 really and even if it does, if her track record is anything to go by her next single could be wildly different and just an unsuccessful. I want to say she is just trying new sounds but she got a huge hit with Starving then followed it up with crappy dance features and then the dull Most Girls which were nothing like her breakout single. Now she's repeating the same thing and I highly doubt her next single will be pop-country-dance or whatever this is.
February 14, 20187 yr They're all in a sort of EDM/pop space, I don't know why people are acting like she's going wildly between totally different styles? Of course Love Myself is very different but that was for the EP, a different campaign. Idk if she'll scrap all these for the upcoming album, as say Rihanna did with Anti when it happened to take a different direction? Perhaps with the album when it eventually comes, she'll have a more defined sound. Whole album with BloodPop please <3
February 14, 20187 yr I think it's a lack of identity as an artist/personality more than anything! I think it's good she's pushing different types of songs - even if they all fall under the dance-pop bracket at the end of the day. I think she just needs a killer song to make her stand out (almost similar to Dua this time last year) from the rest of the crowd. She's definitely got the potential and the writers behind her to do that - there's just no buzz around her or any of her releases currently so they're only picking up a few months later once the public realise she's released any of these songs  If she released Love Myself now after she's got herself a bit of a platform I think that could've been her killer song? I'd love to see a re-release tbh!

February 14, 20187 yr also have we all collectively forgotten about the horror that was 'Rock Bottom' with DNCE? she's more hit and miss then I thought!
February 14, 20187 yr Rock Bottom is really good lmao Most Girls and Let Me Go are the 'two singles' from the album from what we know because all the other singles got added to the 'Haiz' ep. I can actually see her ditching Most Girls and keeping Let Me Go as the lead single. Preferably I would like it if she just started the album campaign with a new single like Love Myself
February 14, 20187 yr Honestly I think she'd be absolutely stupid to leave Starving off the album considering it's her only substantial hit thus far!
February 14, 20187 yr ikduf5bzoWk this reminds me so much of Let me Go! anyone else with me on this??

February 14, 20187 yr Of course Rita does, lol. How? Look at her singles discography and justify that. It doesn't make sense.
February 14, 20187 yr I'm just happy that this thread is gaining discussion  all promo is good promo
