September 21, 20177 yr my phone is seemingly too old for the iOS 11 update. :( iPhone 5.You aren't missing out on much I don't think. I remember having the 4th gen iPod touch and it didn't support the major update for 7 :nocheer: I'm surprised the 5S is still being supported actually, it'd probably be obsolete by 12 or even mid 11.
September 21, 20177 yr ios11 is quite smart!!! i like the new control centre although constantly having notifications showing is stressing me out

September 24, 20177 yr Took forever to download ios11.. 7 hours! :X I've never had it take that long! :o did you do it through iTunes or yo wifi? I think iTunes takes a lot longer than just doing it straight from the phone

September 24, 20177 yr I’ve found myself having to force restart the phone 3 or 4 times as the home screen becomes unresponsive, can’t switch apps or turn the screen off (or even the phone itself) although Siri opens as well as triple click home... it’s only happened since the update so I presume it’s that and not my device lmao :’) (If anyone else has this problem just hold power and home until you see the apple logo and you’re all set without losing any settings/data etc. ) I think the screen recording thing is so essential though and it records sound as well so I can basically download videos to it instantly without faffing around with downloading, converting and syncing on my laptop  and no it doesn’t record Netflix appaz it just comes up with a blank screen  Edited September 24, 20177 yr by SouthsideSpinner
September 24, 20177 yr The only thing I dislike thus far, is that the old way of switching apps by force touching the left side of the screen has gone and I really got hella used to that

I did sometimes forget to use it and more often than not I’d accidentally open the switcher  my sensitivity settings only on medium as well but it seems to have a life of its on despite
September 24, 20177 yr Author The iPad keyboard is annoying me, they’ve moved lots of keys around and it’s getting annoying having to swipe up on each key to get a different key.
September 24, 20177 yr It's been exactly 10 years since I joined Buzzjack. TEN. FUCKING. YEARS. f*** I'm old
September 27, 20177 yr Anyone else had the problem where your headphones are unplugged on iPod or iPhone but your phone thinks they're still in so won't play out loud? Currently got this and don't know what to do :( tried turning it off and on again, headphones are in tact and aren't broken so I'm clueless

I can't remember exactly how I solved it but it was either cleaning the headphone jack (I mean THOROUGH, my jack needed so much cleaning with something really long and thin to get it all out) or it might just work with a hard reset (holding power and home until the logo appears)

Tried a knitting needle in the end which worked
September 30, 20177 yr Apparently my beloved 3D Touch app switcher was intentionally removed for 'technical reasons' but will return in a future iOS 11.x release! YAY In the meantime I've taken to using that accessibility feature that gives you a floating home button because you can set it so when you 3D Touch that it opens up the app switcher.

I mean the mat itself isn't wireless, you still need your phone close to a power source  ok so the actul technology is technically charging the phone wirelessly but... all I see initially is it's a couple of seconds faster to charge it than physically putting a cable in :')
