Does anyone know how long RFI has been off hot hits?

afaik it's just been taken off today!

It seems so strange that Spotify haven't moved 'rockstar' near the top of Hot Hits... and yet it's still #1 with a huge lead even with how far down the playlist it is? Could really be doing some crazy numbers if it was track 1 on Hot Hits instead.
it's quite refreshing to see a song reach #1 with such a big lead with no massive payola

I actually think Spotify is not circular at all

Its straightforward: you pay, you're added to the playlists

Except few exceptions like post malone

Poor Paloma is not big enough to get a deal like sam/ts :/

There's of course obvious cases of payola but usually it seems Spotify add songs to Hot Hits UK once they've been stable in the top 200 without the playlist.

 

Paloma Faith hasn't shown herself to be a potential streaming hit as she can't even go top 200 despite good download sales and airplay, so Spotify obviously are going to chose other songs that are doing better organically.

Can actually see this Chris & Kem song becoming a legitimate hit. Off to a very strong start on here and its lead is thus far holding on iTunes.

Yes, but to be fair aren't the majority in the top 200 already on some of the bigger playlists anyway before making the transition to Hot Hits? She actually has nothing.

 

It probably does all just boil down to the pact that Paloma's label probably won't buy her a spot on these playlists. I guess it's not their priority.
