i think it’s pretty clear that melody was the cause of a lot of the friction in the band. can’t have all been nicole if the other 4 are willing to work with her on this but didn’t reach out to whiney melody.

 

+ i know the gig would be nothing without nicole but nicole/ashley/kim have supported each other throughout their other endeavours so there can’t be that much bad blood.

I sure there was a documentary regarding them (can’t remember the name right now) where they all spoke about the group and the majority of friction that happened was because of Nicole and how the mangement pushed her and treated the others . All the girls get on with Melody, Ashley and Kimberly we’re supporting her and came to watch Melody when she took part in Dancing On Ice just this year ! It’s probably just down to Melody who is more of a Singer not wanting to go back to being background dancing again majority of the time and tbh that’s understandable.

 

I believe Melody didnt join for financial reasons. Its not like the money will be split.

if you’ve watched the documentary, you’ll know that carmit, melody, ashley, kimberly + jessica were hired to be dancers for the group. it was only when they took off that there was an issue + they then wanted to change the contracts. they had no leg to stand on, which is how they didn’t get anywhere sharing the vocals but the label threw them an olive branch + let them record solo songs for doll domination. melody’s delusions of grandeur exploded on stage numerous times + her not doing this reunion whilst releasing her own single is petty asf.

 

i’m a massive pcd fan + back in the day (10 years ago on the doll domination tour :cry:) some friends + i went to quite a few of the dates on the tour. we would wait outside their hotels to meet them + finally met them in london. they were leaving the hotel + were heading to this morning to perform whatcha think about that. ashley, jessica + kimberly came out first and were the sweetest. they spent around 15 minutes with fans taking pictures + signing autographs. they all got in to one car together + left. melody then came out on her own, with an entourage, and told the 7 fans waiting that she was just taking pictures - not signing autographs?! she took the pictures + got in her own car. nicole came out last, signed my cd, hoodie + took pictures before getting into her own car.

 

i guess for a singer like melody, signing autographs may have been too much for mic-holding hand.

I'd probably say 'I Don't Need A Man' is way more well-known/recognised than 'I Hate This Part' too.

Ad libbing for a few seconds on a few songs is hardly a solo is it especially when it’s a full 3/4 minute song :lol: Ok well we can keep going back and forward you have your opinion I have mine but I don’t see the problem with her not wanting to reunion if she don’t want to . And yes I did watch the documentary and in it was actually said Melody was singer who ended up being made to just mainly dance . She wasn’t a trained dancer and it even showed in some of there performances she’s mainly a singer and I could understand the frustration if I was in her shoes .

I’m not sure how this comeback is going to perform but I can’t see it being hugely successful as none of them are really relevant anymore. I mean Nicole could have been a huge solo star but messy campaigns and non releases really cost her.

I'm glad that Melody is not part of the group again, she would most likely cause some bad energy like she did before. Awful person.
